This study aims to determine the effect of storage techniques on quality of rice germplasm seeds. This study used a factorial Completely Randomized Design with two factors. The first factor was the storage temperature which consists of three levels, namely temperature 25°-27°C, 10°C and -5°C. The second factor was the type of storage packaging which consists of two levels, namely hermetic plastic bags and bagor plastic bags. Each treatment was repeated 4 times. The research was conducted at the Plant Breeding and Seed Technology Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture, Udayana University from March-July 2021. The results showed that the storage techniques for 3 months used hermetic and bagor plastic bags in temperature -5°C was able maintaining the quality of rice germplasm seed than temperatures 25°-27°C and 10°C indicated by the value of water content (9,07% and 9,60%), growth speed (21,81%/etmal and 20,13%/etmal), simultaneous growth (87,00% and 83,00%), maximum growth potential (93,75% and 92,00%) and germination (91,25% and 87,00%). Storage techniques for 3 months in temperatures 25°-27°C, 10°C, and -5°C used hermetic plastic bags was able maintaining the quality of rice germplasm seed than used bagor plastic bags indicated by the value of water content (9,22%, 9,10% and 9,07%), growth speed (21,30%/etmal, 21,50%/etmal and 21,81%/etmal), simultaneous growth (80,75%, 83,25% and 87,00%), maximum growth potential (92,50%, 92,75 % and 93,75%) and germination (89,50%, 90,50% and 91,25%).
