Abstract

The form of ecotourism creates environmental sustainability with economic as well as social values for a natural area, is a form of tourism potential management. The purpose of this study was to provide a design recommendation for the local government in making embung arrangement policies that are located on the edge of the city with ecotourism-based localities in the creative economy. The method used is a participatory community research method because the community is the party who knows the problem and needs the most. The main approach of this research is the bottom-up (participatory) model, which involves the community in a series of research processes. A participatory plan focuses on the interests of the community, participatory, dynamic, synergy and legality. The form of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach.

Abstract

The process of cultural acculturation and archipelago architecture began since the entry of traders who bring valueand cultural elements which then synergize with local culture. From history, we can see, many forms of archipelagoarchitecture has since opened up to the influence of the outer culture that comes in. The cities of Lasem, Tuban and Gresikin the North Coast in the Eastern part of Java Island are the cities that became the starting point of entry of foreigntraders. So do not be surprised if the shape of the architecture of the North Coast area in the eastern part of Java isheavily influenced by Chinese, Arabic, and Colonial cultural values. This is reinforced by historical data about the entryof 13th century Chinese culture, Arabic in the fifteenth century and the Dutch (VOC) in the 17th century. The entry ofChinese, Arab, and Dutch Culture to Indonesia in the glorious period of the Majapahit Kingdom gave a touch of changeand continuity in various cultural activities. Traces of relations between these cultures that eventually create a form ofacculturation of architecture that appears from the shape and meaning of existing buildings in the area of the North Coastin the Eastern part of Java Island. From the exploration process conducted by phenomenological approach that focuseson the process of acculturation of architecture, will be able to prove that Lasem Region is an expression of acculturationbetween Chinese culture, Middle East, Colonial, and Java through its concepts.

Abstract

Semiotika arsitektur merupakan bahasa tanda yang menginformasikan nilai-nilai dan makna dari objek arsitektural tentang hal-hal yang esensial dan lebih mendalam serta tersirat dari tampilannya. Gereja Katolik sangat sarat makna dalam merepresentasikan iman melalui tata liturgi sebagai unsur sentral peribadatan berdasarkan pengalaman estetik dan religious yang nampak dari berbagai tanda dan makna yang mencerminkan misteri keIlahian. Gereja Katolik San Inigo Surakarta, menghadirkan suatu relasi bentuk dan fungsi dari sebuah tata laku peribadatan umat Katolik yang berkembang di sekitar lingkungan Keraton dan masih terasa kental dengan suasana Jawa dengan refleksi tata laku Kejawen sebagai bentuk spritiual hubungan manusia dengan Tuhan. Penelitian ini membahas menterjemahkan makna liturgi dalam simbol Katolik yang di inkulturasikan pada budaya Jawa. Makna primer dan sekunder diinterpretasi dari proses pengamatan dengan memkomparasikan makna dalam tradisi Jawa dan iman Katolik yang ditampilkan pada arsitektur gereja berlanggam Jawa Modern. Penelitian ini akan menjadi studi deskriptif interpretatif dengan analisis yang dibuat untuk mengidentifikasi komponen makna liturgi pada Gereja Katolik San Inigo Drijodipuran dilihat dari sumbu aksis dari bangunan, tata ruang bangunan dan elemen arsitektural. Kontribusi dari penelitian untuk memberikan pengetahuan mengenai signifikasi ekspresi bentuk dan makna semiotika yang merujuk pada inkulturasi budaya lokal, khususnya budaya Jawa pada arsitektur gereja modern.

Abstract

The effects of a humid tropical climate affect urban development activities which result in the emergence of urban heat islands. This phenomenon has an impact on activities that occur in the pedestrian path of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Yogyakarta. The effect of a heat island that is most felt by humans is heat or rising temperatures which will affect human activity, namely thermal comfort. This research is focused on the thermal comfort of the microclimate of the pedestrian path of Jalan Jenderal Sudirman, Yogyakarta. The problem is how far the heat island affects the physical thermal comfort of urban development. The research objective is to provide an overview of the thermal comfort of the microclimate of pedestrian paths. The research was conducted using the Envi-MET 3.1 software simulation method and empirical measurements. The stages of the research were the preparatory stages in the form of an initial survey, data collection primary and secondary, the stages of analysis namely modeling simulations using Envi-Met software, and using Leonardo to provide visualization then converted into thermal comfort standards. The results of this study are Envimet simulation results and vegetation are supporting elements that can provide the main comfort related to outdoor thermals.
