Abstract

Introduction: Global Burden of Disease shows that globally, the risk of stroke has increased to 1 in 4 people. This underlies the World Stroke Organization to hold a stroke awareness campaign. Stroke is the second leading cause of death and the third leading cause of disability worldwide. According to the World Health Organization, stroke is a condition in which clinical signs develop rapidly in the form of focal and global neurologic deficits, which can be severe and last for 24 hours or more and cause death without any other apparent causes other than vascular. In addition, stroke is also a contributing factor to dementia and depression. Purpose: This study aims to reveal the importance of taking āngōng niúhuángwán pills during and after a stroke. Method: Conducted a literature review by searching through electronic databases Garuda, Pubmed, and Google Scholar and obtained three relevant research articles from 2011-2021 based on inclusion and exclusion criteria. Result: After being given āngōng niúhuángwán pills, it was found that there was an improvement in the quality of life in post-stroke patients. Conclusion: Taking āngōng niúhuángwán pills is effective in improving the quality of life in post-stroke patients.

Abstract

Penyakit degeneratif salah satu penyakit yang sulit untuk terdeteksi, dikarenakan banyak yang tidak mengetahuinya atau tidak bergejala. Seseorang baru mengetahui penyakit degeneratif bila sudah parah atau timbul komplikasi. Kota madiun pernah mendapat predikat zona merah covid 19 karena banyaknya masyarakat yang mempunyai penyakit degeneratif yang menjadi komorbid. Tujuan dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melakukan skrining dan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang bahaya dan pencegahan penyakit degeneratif. Mitra kegiatan ini adalah Gereja Betel Indonesia (GBI) Rock kota Madiun. Peran mitra adalah menyediakan tempat, fasilitas dan mengumpulkan responden. Kegiatan dilakukan pada tanggal 17 september 2022 bertempat di GBI Rock jalan H.A. Salim, Nambangan lor, Kecamatan Mangunharjo, Kota madiun. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan melakukan skrining hipertensi, kolesterol, asam urat dan diabetes, kemudian dilakukan penyuluhan. Kegiatan diakhiri dengan diskusi dalam bentuk tanya jawab dengan peserta. Sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan diberikan kuesioner, hasilnya terdapat peningkatan skor dari 3,18 menjadi 9,14. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah materi penyuluhan memberikan dampak positif bagi peserta. Diharapkan setelah kegiatan ini masyarakat sadar akan bahayanya penyakit degeneratif dan mampu melakukan pencegahan guna mengatasi penyakit tersebut.Degenerative diseases are difficult to detect because they do not know it or have no symptoms. A person only knows a degenerative disease if it is severe or complications arise. Madiun was once a Covid-19 red zone because many people have degenerative diseases that became comorbid. This community service aims to conduct screening and outreach to the public about the dangers and prevention of degenerative diseases. The partner of this activity is the Indonesian Rock Bethel Church (GBI) in the city of Madiun. Partners are providing places and facilities and collecting respondents. The activity was carried out on September 17, 2022, at GBI Rock Jalan H.A. Salim, Nambangan lor, Mangunharjo District, Madiun City. Activities are carried out by screening for hypertension, cholesterol, gout and diabetes, then counselling. The activity ended with a question-and-answer discussion with the participants. Before and after the counselling, a questionnaire was given, and the result was an increase in the score from 3,18 to 9,14. The activity concluded that the counselling gave positive results for all participants. After this activity, we are hoped that the community will be aware of the dangers of degenerative diseases and can take preventive for these diseases.

Abstract

In 2019, Madiun city received the title red zone covid-19, since then the Madiun city government always take preventive action. Now, covid-19 in indonesia has gone down, but preventive measures must still be taken. One of the preventive actions that can be taken with traditional/complementary medicine is acupressure by ourselves. Acupressure is massage at acupuncture points, also called acupuncture without needles. Some acupressure points for maintaining health is li 4 – hegu, st 36 – zusanli, lv 3 – taichong, and sp 6 – sanyinjiao. Community service activities were carried out on september 18, 2022 in Madiun city. Community service activities were attended by 50 participants. The method of community service activities is education to the community. The most age group participating in counseling was the age of 41-50 years was 40% and the least age > 60 years was 4%. Female participants were 56% and male participants were 44%. Before and after counseling the participants were then given a questionnaire. The questionnaire has 10 questions with a weight of 1. If all questions are answered correctly, the maximum score is 10 and the lowest score is 0. The mean score before counseling was 1,43 and after that 9,05. It can be concluded that the respondents received the educational material very well
