Abstract

In Indonesia, agricultural zakat collection is very low in comparison to its potential, while the majority of the population works in agricultural sector. Thus, it is crucial to conduct research on this matter. This study aims to investigate the factors that influence muzakki to pay agricultural zakat through institutions in Indramayu, West Java. Using Roscoe’s model, 70 farmers who had reached the nishab were determined as sample. The data were analyzed using a logistic regression analysis approach. The findings show that four variables have a significant impact on decision of the farmers to pay agricultural zakat through institution, namely religiosity, zakat comprehension, awards or appreciation, and service quality. Institutions should be innovative in order to maximize agricultural zakat collection, such as providing zakat pick-up service and a zakat activity report for muzakki on a regular basis. Furthermore, in order to convey the significance and benefits of paying zakat through institutions, institutions must strengthen their collaboration with local authorities and religious leaders.======================================================================================================== ABSTRAK – Determinan yang Mempengaruhi Muzakki Membayar Zakat melalui Lembaga Amil di Jawa Barat.

Abstract

Tourism is one of the industries most impacted by COVID-19, while DKI Jakarta is one of Indonesia's biggest Muslim-friendly tourist destinations. This study aims to formulate a halal tourism recovery strategy post-COVID-19 with an approach to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of developing recovery plans in Jakarta, the biggest city in Indonesia. An analytical network process with a SWOT network structure was employed. In this method, many respondents are not needed, but what is needed is representation from experts in the field. The survey was conducted with five expert respondents, from academics, practicians, and regulators. The results showed that the benefits of the existing infrastructure, accessibility, and amenities greatly influenced the strength factor. The most significant shortcoming of halal tourism is that it remains misunderstood. Halal tourism, which is appropriate for use during the new normal period, is one of the most important opportunities and risks. There are no standards for organizing, controlling, and reducing the impact of epidemics/disasters on the tourism industry. According to SWOT analysis, priorities for halal tourism recovery strategies include strengthening halal tourism branding, international industrial infrastructure development, increased competitiveness, and service innovation related to halal products and services.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of mergers, economic growth, the volume of murabaha financing, Bank Indonesia interest rates, and other variables on murabaha income on sharia pawn products at Bank Syariah Indonesia. The results of this study indicate that murabaha margin income is used as the dependent variable in this study. Dummy variables, five independent variables that have a large influence on the results, two independent variables that do not have a significant impact on the results, and one dummy variable are one of the seven independent variables used in this study. The model used is multiple linear regression with the OLS method. The findings of this study indicate that neither inflation nor fluctuations in the volume of murabaha financing have a significant effect on income from murabahah margins. Income from murabaha margins, however, is very negatively affected by non-performing financing (NPF) variables. Operating expenses as a percentage of operating income (BOPO), BI rate, growth, and aggregation dummy all have a large beneficial impact on earnings on murabahah margins.
