<![CDATA[Penelitian ini dilatarbekangi oleh strategi bertutur dan interaksi dalam komunikasi menumbulkan aspek permasalah yang begitu krusial. Tuturan merupakan aspek penting dalam proses komunikasi. Komunikasi yang baik tidak akan menimbulkan gagal paham kepada mitra tutur. Pembicaraan yang baik, merupakan sesuai dengan konteks situasi dan kondisi ranah kehidupan masyarakat. Tujuan penelitian mendeskripsikan strategi bertutur pemandu wisata di Kabupeten Pesisir Selatan. Penelitian ini dibatasi pada strategi bertutur pemandu wisata di kabupaten Pesisir Selatan, Provinsi Sumatera Barat. Jenis penelitian ini mengunakan metode campuran, yaitu metode kualitatif, dan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, perekaman, dan pencatatan. Pengabsahan data diantaranya uji validitas internal, dan uji objektivitas. Hasil penelitian. Pertama, strategi bertutur pemandu wisata Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan kelompok bertutur berterus terang 2 tuturan dengan persentase 4,16%. Kedua, strategi bertutur pemandu wisata Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan kelompok bertutur berterus terang basi-basi kesantunan positif 40 tuturan, persentase 83,33%. Ketiga, strategi bertutur pemandu wisata Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan kelompok bertutur berterus terang basi-basi kesantunan negatif 5 tuturan, persentase 10,43%. Keempat, strategi bertutur pemandu wisata Kabupaten Pesisir Selatan kelompok bertutur dengan samar-samar 1 tuturan, persentase 2,08%. Second, the speaking strategy of Pesisir Selatan Regency tour guides, the speaking group frankly speaking, was positive politeness 40 utterances, the percentage was 83.33%.
