Abstract

There has been a huge interest among academics and practitioners in open source. This is because open source offers business with its programmers the opportunity to elaborate and adapt source code. The success of open source leads to an increasing contro-versy of the price of its software. In other words, is the total cost of ownership of open source really lower than that of proprietary software?This paper describes the concept of open source, compares it with proprietary software, and total cost of ownership (TCO) of open source. An example of Linux vs. Windows or Unix is taken to describe the cost of open source. In brief, this paper sums up open source is cheaper in terms of direct cost (hard-ware, software and support). However, it is difficult to measure the indirect costs of open source since these costs are hidden and may vary within the business and software environment.Keywords: Open Source; Proprietary Software; Total Cost of Ownership

Abstract

This study discusses the impact of trust and the acceptance of technology on consumer intention to purchase on line at www.kaskus.us. The focus of the study was to test whether privacy, security, trust, risk, perceived usefulness and ease of use influence student intention to purchase online. The sample taken are from Accounting Department Universitas Islam Indonesia students who purchase on line at the web site kaskus.us. The data were analyzed using multiple regression and SEM, then calculated with SmartPLS software. The results indicate that privacy and security have positive influence ontrust. Moreover, perceived usefulness and ease of use have positive and significant effect on interest in purchasing online. On the contrary trust have negative effect on the risk to buy online. Lastly, risk have negatively effect and not significant with the intention to purchase on line.Keywords:   security, privacy, trust, risk, perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, intention, online purchase

Abstract

Information System are series of activities that process data becoming information. Strategy are plans made to achieve goals. The purpose if this research is to investigate the implementation of information system with information technology, management information system, accounting information system and the strategies implemented by the travel industries in the city of Yogyakarta in facing online travel agents. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with interview and observation for data collection. The results of this research shows that travel industries already use information system and strategies well. For the business process in each travel industries, they already use information system although the system is not yet integrated. Moreover, selling strategies they took has influenced their sales though they did not reached their profit target.Keywords: Travel Industries, Information Technology, Information Systems, Strategies

Abstract

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) is an integrated software application in enterprise system that is used to manage organizations resources. Currently, SAP is the most widely used of ERP systemi package in the market.This paper is a case study based on the ERP implementation at the Universitas Islam Indonesia (UII) in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This study sees ERP implementation in knowledge transfer perspective in which explains the process of bringing explicit business processes to the organization.There are four stages in understanding the knowledge transfer process at UII: initiation, implementation, ramp up, and integration. The most crucial stages are ramp up and integration. During the ramp up organization adopt the "best processes" by configuring their environment so that explicit knowledge are easily transferred to the organization. In the integration, the knowledge is internalized into the organization and seen as agradual processforthe new practices to become part of the new reality of the organization.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect of Zakat and Sadaqah Knowledge, Knowledge of Islamic Financial Literacy and Self-Awareness on student’s motivation in paying Zakat and Sadaqah. This study used primary data by sending online questionnaire to Accounting Students at FBE UII. The sampling used for this research was 100 students from Accounting departement  batch 2016-2019. Multiple Linear Regression is used for data analysis. The results of this study showed that Zakat and Sadaqah Knowledge has a positive impact on students motivation for paying them. Similarly, knowledge of Islamic financial literacy also has positive effect on students motivation of paying Zakat and Sadaqah. Lastly, self-awareness has positive effect on Students Motivation of paying Zakat and Sadaqah. These concluded that accounting students in Faculty Business and Economic UII has a high motivation to pay Zakat and Sadaqah and implementing them in their life.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyse the impact zakat knowledge, infaq and sadaqah, religiosity, self-awareness, social environment and convenience on student motivation in paying zakat, infaq and sadaqah. The research sample used purposive sampling method. The population of this study were the 2017-2020 academic year students of the Faculty of Business & Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia. 251 respondents were taken as samples. This study used primary data by sending an online questionnaire to FBE UII students. Multiple linear regression method is used for analysis. The results of this study indicated that Zakat knowledge, infaq and shadaqah, religiosity, self-awareness, social environment and convenience have a positive and significant influence on student motivation in paying zakat, infaq & shadaqah. In conclusion accounting students of the Faculty of Business and Economics, Universitas Islam Indonesia have high motivation in paying Zakat, Infaq & Sadaqah.
