Abstract

This study aims to describe the picture of spirituality and religiosity in hypertensive patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center, Jambi City. This research method is quantitative research with this type of observational survey research. The results showed that the religiosity value of hypertension patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center had an average high level of 99.4%, and only 0.6% of respondents had a low level of religiosity. The spiritual value of hypertension patients at the Putri Ayu Health Center is 92%, and only 2% of respondents have a low level of religiosity. In conclusion, hypertensive patients' religiosity and spirituality values are primarily high. Keywords: Hypertension, Religiosity, Spirituality

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between self-care for DM sufferers (Comorbid) and their quality of life during the COVID-19 Pandemic. This research method is analytically observational using a cross-sectional design. The results showed that the majority of respondents, 74 people (81.3%), had a good quality of life, and 17 respondents with a percentage of 18.7% had a poor quality of life. The majority of respondents, 66 respondents (72.5%), have adequate self-care, 20 respondents (22.0%) have good self-care, and five respondents (5.5%) are in the less category. P-value = 0.000. In conclusion, good self-care for DM sufferers (comorbid) tends to improve the quality of life for DM patients. Keywords: COVID-19, Diabetes Mellitus, Quality of Life, Self Care

Abstract

Establishing a healthy lifestyle is a big challenge for people with hypertension. For this reason, it is necessary to provide social support so that people with hypertension can improve their health behaviour. This study aims to provide an overview of social support in healthy living settings for people with hypertension. The design of this study uses a cross-sectional design. The study involved 147 hypertensive patients aged over 18 years who were selected by random sampling technique. The results of the study described that most of hypertension sufferers are late adults, live with extended families, and social support comes from peers. Hypertension sufferers have received support in the form of care assistance and motivation during regular healthy living arrangements. What is recommended is to increase social support sources and control arrangements for a healthy lifestyle in implementing daily activities. Keywords: Social support, Hypertension, Healthy lifestyle
