Abstract

Black glutinous rice is a potential commodity in Latellang Village. However, this potential is not empowered because there is no counseling or other service activities in processing black glutinous rice. The community, especially partners, namely the Maddaung Farmer Group, do not take full advantage of black glutinous rice and only process it into delicious snacks and served at certain times. Therefore, this community service aims to maximize the potential of black glutinous rice by diversifying processed black glutinous rice products into coffee and tea. This product has never existed or been introduced by extension workers or replicated other product innovations, especially in Bone Regency. Community empowerment through this community service program is carried out through three main stages: counseling, training, and mentoring. The results of the program implementation are that partners can find out information on the benefits of processing black glutinous rice and have skills in diversifying products into tea and coffee. In addition, partners have also been able to process finances and market products through the marketplace with an increase in productivity of 98%. The impact of this service can realize sustainable development goals, namely healthy and prosperous villages.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the response to coconut water and the dose of coconut water which has the best effect on the growth of dendrobium orchid plants. This research was conducted in Tompobulu Village, Libureng District, Bone Regency. This study used a randomized block design (RBD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications, so there were 12 experimental units. The treatment used was P0 = no treatment (control), P1 = giving coconut water 100 ml/plant, P2 = giving coconut water 150 ml/plant, P3 = giving coconut water 200 ml/plant. The results showed that the administration of coconut water had no significant effect on the parameters of plant height, leaf length, leaf width and number of leaves. This is due to the slow absorption of nutrients and environmental factors that do not have a significant effect on the growth of orchid plants. Treatment P0 produced the best plant height with an average of 15.73 cm, treatment P2 produced the best leaf length with an average of 14.19 cm, and for the best width in treatment P2 with an average of 3.50 cm while for treatment P3 produced the best number of leaves with an average - average 5 strands.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of banana stump-based phosphate solubilizer extract and SP-36 fertilizer on the growth and yield of sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moech). The research was conducted in the integrated laboratory and experimental garden of Muhammadiyah Bone University, which took place in July-September 2023. This study used a divided plot design (RPT) consisting of 2 (two) treatment factors and 3 (three) replications. The first factor is Banana Weevil Extract (BWE) which consists of 3 levels, namely; doses of 0 ml l-1(E0), 50 ml l-1(E50) and 100 ml l-1(E100). The second factor is SP-36 fertilization which consists of 5 levels, namely; SP-36 fertilization of SP-36 0 kg ha-1(P0), 50 kg ha-1(P50), 100 kg ha-1(P100), 150 kg ha-1(P150) and 200 kg ha-1(P200). Parameters measured were plant height, number of leaves, total plant fresh weight, total plant dry weight and yield. Based on the results of the study, there was an interaction between Banana weevil extract and phosphate fertilizer on the parameters of yield per hectare. The application of BWE at 100 ml l-1, at the fertilization level of 150 kg ha-1 and 200 kg ha-1was able to produce higher average yields, which showed an increase in the average yield respectively by 65.88%, 54.02% and 79.15% when compared to the dose of 0 kg ha-1.
