Abstract

Poverty alleviation programs in East Java have not been carried out optimally. Its implementation has not been effective due to the suboptimal management of special autonomy funds and the limited social assistance funds in the regional budget. Therefore, other assistance is needed as a driving force in alleviating poverty through zakat, infaq shodaqoh, and waqf adopted from the Islamic economic system. This study used the literature study method and examined the application of the Islamic economic system in improving the welfare of the people of East Java, especially the grassroots. This research was conducted based on statistical data related to poverty and the Gini ratio from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), Regional Budget (APBD), and Zakat, Infaq, Shodaqoh, and Waqf (ZISWAF) funds from Amil Zakat National Agency (BAZNAS) in East Java. The results of this study indicate that the existence of ZISWAF can be a very potential source of additional funds in assisting government programs to accelerate poverty alleviation. There are five strategic steps that can be taken, including mobilizing the Muslim community massively to become muzakki if they can afford it, legitimizing zakat distribution institutions, improving the internal performance of BAZNAS starting from its distribution which is not only social assistance, but in the form of productive assistance, and intensifying the global ZISWAF concept.

Abstract

Tujuan artikel ini adalah untuk menganalisis dampak berbagai ukuran aktivitas kewirausahaan, yaitu melalui sikap dan perilaku terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi 21 negara eropa. Tujuannya adalah untuk menilai dampak aktivitas kewirausahaan, diukur dengan kemampuan yang dirasakan, peluang yang dirasakan, aktivitas kewirausahaan, dan total tahap awal, terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi negara-negara tersebut. Studi ini didasarkan pada metodologi kuantitatif dan menggunakan data panel yang mencangkup 21 negara Eropa dari periode 2003 hingga 2021 (196 observasi). Analisis dilakukan dengan menggunakan variabel dependen, independen dan kontrol, stationeritas data panel, dan model regresi linear berganda diestimasi menggunakan generalized method of moments. Secara umum penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kewirausahaan yang didorong oleh peluang (langsung atau tidak langsung oleh kapasitas yang dirasakan) merupakan faktor kunci dalam merangsang pertumbuhan ekonomi negara-negara eropa sebagaimana yang dipertimbangkan dalam sampel penelitian ini.

Abstract

This research examines the potential of Islamic economics as a solution in dealing with the global financial crisis through literature studies. In the context of the global financial crisis, Islamic economics offers an interesting alternative approach. The literature study method is used to collect and analyze literature related to Islamic economics and the global financial crisis. The results of the study show that Islamic economics has the potential to overcome the global financial crisis through its principles which prohibit usury, reduce excessive risk, and empower the people's economy. Islamic financial instruments, such as sukuk and profit-sharing financing, also offer a more sustainable alternative. However, the challenges of Islamic financial literacy and regulatory harmonization still need to be overcome. In conclusion, understanding the potential of the Islamic economy can create a stable, inclusive and sustainable financial system in the face of the global financial crisis.

Abstract

Abstract. This research examines the Blockchain-based financial system in Islamic monetary economics. Through a literature review, this study finds that blockchain technology can support Shariah principles by regulating transactions in accordance with Islamic rules and enhancing financial transparency. Furthermore, blockchain technology can enhance financial security through encryption and strict access controls. The implementation of this technology also has the potential to improve financial inclusion by providing secure and efficient financial services to previously unbanked individuals. The findings of this research provide valuable insights for policymakers and practitioners in developing innovative solutions that strengthen the fair, transparent, and inclusive Islamic financial sector in the digital era.

Abstract

This study delves into the philosophical viewpoint of Islamic economics concerning capitalism and materialism within the context of modernity. It examines essential aspects like ownership, wealth distribution, and consumption from an Islamic economic perspective and employs a critical approach to analyze the interactions among capitalism, materialism, and modernity. The research adopts a qualitative analytical method, drawing insights from relevant literature and prior studies in the field. The collected data is scrutinized through the lens of Islamic economic principles and relevant philosophical perspectives. The results highlight how the philosophical standpoint of Islamic economics provides an alternative perspective on addressing capitalism and materialism in contemporary times. Islamic economic thought emphasizes principles of social justice, wealth redistribution, and consumption limitations as integral components. The study underscores the significance of integrating moral and ethical values into economic practices to achieve social and spiritual sustainability. By offering insights into the critique of capitalism and materialism from an Islamic economic standpoint, the research encourages further discussions on more sustainable and equitable economic alternatives.

Abstract

This study explores the contribution of Islamic economic principles as an alternative solution to global economic inequality. Through a literature review and critical analysis of related literature, this study found that Islamic economic principles, such as social justice, equitable distribution of wealth, and prohibition of usury, have the potential to reduce such inequality. However, challenges such as lack of understanding and awareness, inconsistent implementation, and regulatory barriers need to be overcome. Strategic measures are needed, including more widespread Islamic economic education, strong policy support, and collaboration between the government, financial institutions, and society. This research contributes to strengthening the understanding of the role of Islamic economics in addressing global economic inequality, with the hope of achieving more equitable and sustainable economic prosperity around the world.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the determinants of online game player loyalty among millennials. The development of information technology and the internet has created a booming online gaming industry, with millennials being one of the main consumer segments in this industry. However, with high competition and many game options available, maintaining player loyalty is crucial to the success of game developers and providers. This research utilizes quantitative methods. Questionnaires were distributed to 173 respondents to collect quantitative data from a sample of millennial online game players. The results of data analysis show that the determinants of online game player loyalty among millennials include several aspects. First, gameplay quality and gaming experience are the main factors that influence player loyalty. In addition, interesting and quality content also contributes importantly to retaining players. Second, social interaction and in-game community support are significant factors in building emotional bonds and connections between players. Furthermore, fairness and transparency in the payment system and the ability to earn rewards and progress in the game are also determinants of loyalty. In addition, the availability of technical support and good game maintenance will increase player satisfaction and retention.
