Abstract

A crematorium is a special place for cremation of dead. In recent years, the Hindu community in Bali has become accustomed to use crematorium for doing ngaben rituals. This study aims to know the determinant of Balinese to do ngaben at crematorium. The population was all Hindu communities in Bali, with a sample of 120 Hindu families who have doing ngaben at the crematorium. These respondents were chosen by applying snow-ball sampling. To find the underlying determinant(s), explanatory factor analysis was used. Data for this study is collected by surveying the respondents using self-administered questionaire on January to March 2022. The results justify there are four factors determine Hindu community in Bali has become accustomed to use crematorium for ngaben. These factors are (a) the quality of the crematorium service as the organizer of ngaben ceremony, (b) conformity of cremation ceremony with conventional cremation, (c) the family's trust and the absence of objections from the traditional village; (d) and consideration of the economic dimension. These factors able to explain the determinant of Hindu balinese people conducted ngaben at crematorium as much as 63 percent.

Abstract

In the context of managing Pura Agung Besakih as a cultural tourism destination, consideration is needed from the operational management of the Besakih Temple area and the travel agency so that in addition to getting the maximum expected benefits, the preservation of the place and culture, as well as the smooth running of religious ceremonies at Pura Agung Besakih, can also be maintained. In decision-making by the operational management of the Besakih Temple area and the travel agency, this study used a game theory approach by applying a non-zero-sum game. This study uses simulation data related to the number of visits by foreign and domestic tourists and the expectations of opinions from the operational management of the Besakih Temple area and the travel agency. The results obtained are that the best strategy used by the operational management of the Besakih Temple area is full access and by the travel agency is to use tourist delivery services without tour packages.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to explain the prediction of the exchange rate of the United States Dollar (USD) on the Indonesia Rupiah (IDR) using the Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS) method. ANFIS is a combination of functions contained in fuzzy logic and neural networks. The data used is data with daily period of the USD exchange rate against the rupiah. The input to the daily prediction is a combination of the exchange rates on the previous days for the prediction of the selling rate of the United States Dollar (USD) for the next one day. The results of this study, the best model ANFIS uses a membership function Gaussian with model 3 consisting of 4 inputs and 1 output with a combination of training data and test data 80:20 or 202 data training and 51 data testing resulting MAPE is 3.74% and from the MAPE value it can be concluded that predictions using the ANFIS can be categorized as very accurate.
