Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an effect of the Flipped Classroom Model on the Ability of Mathematical Representation in View of the Curiosity of Learning Mathematics at SMK GKPS 2 Pematangsiantar. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a quasy experimental design in the form of a pretest-posttest control design. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class which was treated with the Flipped Classroom learning model and the control class which was given the conventional learning model. Data was collected by observation, test and documentation methods. Data analysis used normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. The results of testing the hypothesis obtained tcount> ttable or where the thitiung on the test was obtained 2.758> 2.01808 and tcount on the questionnaire (questionnaire) obtained tcount obtained 6.275> 2.01808. This means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it shows that there is an influence of the Flipped Classroom Model on the Ability of Mathematical Representation in terms of the Curiosity of Learning Mathematics at SMK GKPS 2 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Model Pembelajaran Contextual Teaching and Learning Terhadap Pemahaman Konsep Matematis Siswa Kelas Viii Smp Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, dengan desain penelitian Pre-experimental Desain menggunakan bentuk One-Shot Case Study. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan non probability sampling dengan teknik sampling purposive. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII-A. Pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini didasarkan pada kesepakatan antara guru matematika dan peneliti atas dasar pertimbangan kemampuan siswa yang dilihat dari hasil belajar mereka selama satu semester, juga disesuaikan dengan waktu penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan penggunaan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Hal ini dibuktikan dari analisis regresi linear sederhana diperoleh nilai signifikan < 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05) maka H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang artinya terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa pada materi sistem koordinat kartesius kelas VIII SMP Swasta Tamansiswa Pematang Siantar tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Besar pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran contextual teaching and learning terhadap pemahaman konsep matematis siswa adalah sebesar 55,5 %.
