Abstract

Food is one of the basic needs for fulfilling human nutrition. Especially in traditional food, the Bugis people have a habit of symbolizing the cultural cuisine they prepare. The purpose of this study is to explain the meaning of culinary through the name and form of kaddoq minynyaq. This is a descriptive qualitative study that employs Roland Barthes' semiology approach. The data collection technique applied was an interview technique with the aim of obtaining public opinion regarding the customs and beliefs of the Bugis tribe and the application of documentation techniques to obtain cultural archives in the form of images. Data analysis techniques began with data classification and continued with Roland Barthes' significance analysis. The results of this study are process-oriented; through the rampa aroma that is smeared on the kaddoq minynyaq culinary, it is hoped that the secret, in this case palliseq, will not be known by other people who do not know the people who carry out the tradition well. Through the analysis of témpa-témpa and kaddoq, it is hoped that society can uphold awareness of good behavior and the value of unity in order to obtain harmonious relationships.Keyword : Bugis, Kaddoq Minynyaq, Meaning, Naming, Shape

Abstract

Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk melihat sejauhmana peran perempuan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan seperti yang terdapat pada teks-teks La Galigo. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori gender, teori yang melihat bagaimana relasi antara wanita dan laki-laki agar setara dan seimbang yang didasarkan atas kompetensi dan kemampuan, baik di dunia domestik maupun di dunia publik termasuk di dalamnya proses pengambilan keputusan. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode analisis teks dari sumber data yang digunakan yaitu teks-teks La Galigo Jilid 3 menurut naskah NBG 188. Dari situ diklasifikasi peran tokoh-tokohnya dalam berinteraksi baik secara personal maupun secara sosial. Berdasarkan klasifikasi itu maka dianalisis relasi-relasi tokoh-tokoh utama antara laki-laki dan perempuan yang terdapat di dalamnya, khususnya bagaimana peranan perempuan dalam proses pengambilan keputusan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang dilakukan tentang interaksi antar tokoh dalam teks La Galigo maka ditemukan bahwa peran antara laki-laki dan perempuan berlangsung secara seimbang dan setara, termasuk di dalamnya dalam proses pengambilan keputusan. Pengambilan keputusan itu didasarkan atas kesepakatan dan musyawarah tanpa ada dominasi dan pemaksaan secara sepiha kepada perempuan. Karena itu, perempuan mempunyai akses dan kontrol yang kuat terhadap apa yang menjadi hak-haknya sebagai perempuan, dan pendapat-pendapatnya diapresiasi dan dihargai oleh laki-laki sehingga di sini terlihat bagaimana tegaknya hak asasi perempuan.

Abstract

This research aims to describe gender equality in the narratives and illustrations contained in the integrated thematic books for class I students in the 2013 curriculum in elementary schools. This study used descriptive qualitative method. The data collection methods used were literature study, observation, documentation and note taking. In data processing, we use a qualitative approach using Nature theory and semantics. Based on the results of the research and discussions that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the substance of the book's content contains gender inequality. Gender inequality is reflected through illustrative images and story text which fall into three categories, namely (1) Gender inequality in trait values, (2) Gender inequality in work roles, and (3) Gender inequality in hobbies. Each category depicts a woman who is feminine, weak, irrational, emotional and plays a lot of roles in domestic matters. Women are not in an equal position with men who have a masculine attitude and are able to play a role in public matters. Gender bias can influence student teaching and learning activities, such as: using appropriate methods that involve all students, classroom management such as assigning seats to the class teacher, dividing them randomly without looking at the gender and achievement of the students and changing them once a month so that students don't feel bored. and student interactions, especially those that occur outside the classroom, involve interactions between students. Male students usually play with members of the same gender, while female students also play with female friends to make it easier for students to choose the games they play
