Abstract

English language skills are a skill that is needed in this era of globalization. English is the main communication tool in education and general interaction in national and international society. English training for youth Tahfidz Markazul Quran mosque Nurul Huda Nagari Panyalaian is one form of knowledge reference in the Babaliak ka Surau program. This English training uses the Gamification method, where the learning process uses the guessing game method, numbers, pictures and words. The purpose of using this method is to create a sense of pleasure and not get bored in learning, then it can attract the interest and motivation of participants in learning. Likewise with Pasambahan traditional dance training as a program to preserve and maintain Minangkabau cultural arts. The results of this activity are (1) an increase in interest and motivation in learning English. (2) Can add vocabulary in daily life (3) Can use basic English in communication (3) improve arts and culture skills, especially traditional dance. The evaluation of this activity shows that this activity has the support of the training participants and the mosque management and will become a follow-up program for the team. Therefore, this program is a form of activation of the Ba Baliak ka Surau program for youth in Nagari Panyalaian.

Abstract

Learning English today has a variety of creative and innovative ways to attract children's interest and get good learning outcomes. English language skills are skills that are needed in this globalization era. English is the main communication tool in education as well as general interaction in national and international society. For this reason, we carry out community service with creative and innovative English language training programs using the Duolingo application for students at SDIT Maarif Padang Panjang. Initial observations were made by looking at the needs and schedule for implementing English learning at SDIT Maarif. Then, the English learning schedule is carried out in grade 4 in the second semester. For this reason, we asked the school for a schedule at the end of semester one with the aim of providing motivation and introduction to English to participants using technology. The results obtained in this program are the participants' relatively high interest in learning English with the Duolingo application because it is very interesting, sophisticated and easy to understand learning material. Participants get an understanding of English material both in English vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, and grammar because the Duolingo application trains participants efficiently

Abstract

Leksikon merupakan pembedaharaan kata dalam sebuah bahasa tentunya memiliki hubungan timbal balik dengan lingkungan. Dalam Tradisi Maambiak Ari bercocok tanam padi di Nagari Jaho Kecamatan X Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar terdapat leksikon alam yang menggambarkan hubungan bahasa dan lingkungannya. Peneliti ingin menginventariskan data leksikon tersebut sebagai dokumentasi kebahasaan dan kebudayaan untuk mengungkap kearifan lokal budaya dan kekayaan leksikonnya yang telah mulai punah. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk pengembangan ilmu linguistik, khususnya perspektif ekolinguistik. Teori yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu teori ekolinguistik dengan analisis ekoleksikon pada aspek intratekstual yang membahas aspek sintaktik atau bentuk. Dalam penelitain peneliti menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Peneliti menemukan bentuk intratekstual leksikon yang dikelompokkan dalam tiga tahap. Pertama tahap pratanam, terdapat leksikon dengan bentuk verba, nomina, adjektiva, frasa nomina, frasa verba dan ungkapan, serta bentuk morfologis afiksasi ma-, ma-N, pemarkah pa-, pa- -an, prefiks sa-, dan ba-. Pada tahap tanam terdapat leksikon dengan bentuk verba, nomina, adverbia, frasa nomina, frase verba, dan ungkapan, serta bentuk morfologis afiksasi ma-N, ba-, dan sa-. Pada tahap pascatanam, terdapat leksikon berkategori verba, nomina, frasa nomina, kompositum, dan ungkapan, serta proses morfologis dengan afiksasi maN-, ba-, dan artikel si.

Abstract

To create midwifery student professionalism in the topic of learning Midwifery Services, lecturers need a structured learning design. The form of learning in Midwifery services is very suitable using the Experiential learning method. This Experiential learning method has four cycles of phases in shaping the experience of becoming professional in students. The method used in this research is Research and Development. The research subjects were Midwifery students at the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Sumatera Barat. The research object is a Midwifery Service learning topic with learning materials Offering Services, Giving Direction and Persuade. The results obtained are in the form of a Learning Design which contains the learning flow of Midwifery Services in English in the Experiential Learning model. The circular phases are Active Experimentation (Students carry out oral conversation practice based on the theme of conditions experienced every day and Midwifery Services), Concrete Experience (Students are asked to demonstrate the expressions of offering service, giving direction, and persuading in Indonesian Language. The teacher plays video/audio expressions offering service, giving direction, and persuading), Reflective Observation (Learners compare functions, language structures in the utterances heard and compare with English conversation in Midwifery Services), Abstract Conceptualization (Students arrange and make conversations based on the function and structure of linguistic rules using various expressions. Students are given the opportunity to make conversations based on the theme of the conditions experienced in the practice of midwifery services).
