<![CDATA[ABSTRAKPenelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui profil darah gajah sumatera (Elephas maximus sumatranus) di CRU Sampoiniet, Aceh Jaya. Sampel darah diambil dari 4 ekor gajah sumatera yang ada di CRU Sampoiniet. Profil darah seperti hemoglobin, hematokrit, eritrosit, leukosit dan diferensial leukosit dihitung secara manual. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata kadar hemoglobin pada gajah sumatera 10.3±4,04 g/dl, nilai hematokrit 39,6±3,63%, jumlah eritrosit total 2,492±1,347 x103/µl, jumlah leukosit total 8,93±2,96 x103µL dan rata-rata dari diferensial leukosit berupa jumlah granulosit (neutrofil berkisar (neutrofil 52,75±7,63%, eosinofil 2,50±1,00% dan basofil 4,25±2,06%), dan agranulosit (limfosit 33,75±7,97% dan monosit 7,25±1,50%). Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini bahwa profil darah gajah sumatera yang berada di (CRU) Sampoiniet Aceh Jaya berada pada kisaran normal dari gajah-gajah sumatera.Kata kunci: profil darah, gajah sumatera, CRU sampoinietABSTRACTThis study was conducted to find out the blood profile of Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus) at CRU Sampoiniet, Aceh Jaya. Blood samples were taken from 4 sumatran elephants in CRU Sampoiniet. Blood profiles such as hemoglobin, hematocrit, erythrocytes, leucocytes and differentials leukocyte are calculated manually. The results showed that the average hemoglobin level in Sumatran elephant was 10.3 ± 4.04 g/dl, hematocrit value 39.6 ± 3.63%, erythrocyte total 2,492 ± 1,347 x106/μl, leukocyte total 8,93 ± 2,96 x103μL and the mean of differentials leukocyte were granulocyte counts (neutrophils ranged from 52,75±7,63%, eosinophils 2,50±1,00% and basophils 4,25±2,06%), and agranulocytes (lymphocytes 33,75±7,97% and monocytes 7,25±1,50%).
