Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic is one of the threats to defending the life of the Indonesian nation and state. In facing all forms of disturbing threats, the Indonesian nation adheres to a universal people's defense and security system, so efforts to defend the nation to defend the nation from various existing threats are the obligation and responsibility of the entire Indonesian nation including women. This study aims to analyze the role of women in efforts to defend the country against the pandemic. This research uses qualitative methods with a literature study approach. The results of the study show that women's involvement in efforts to defend the state in Indonesia has existed since colonialism and the war against colonialism. The role of women in efforts to defend the country against the Covid-19 pandemic is realized through the basic values ​​of defending the country, namely: love for the motherland, awareness of nation and state, willingness to sacrifice for the nation and state, and possessing the initial ability to defend the country.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan wilayah perbatasan adalah kurangnya perhatian dari pemerintah baik pusat maupun daerah. Hal tersebut dapat menimbulkan potensi ancaman tersendiri salah satunya ungoverned territory. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis potensi ancaman ungoverned territory wilayah perbatasan di Pulau Sebatik dan mitigasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Pulau Sebatik saat ini belum masuk dalam kategori ungoverned territory, namun demikian ada potensi ancaman menuju kesana apabila permasalahan – permasalahan yang ada seperti : ketertinggalan dan keterbatasan infrastruktur pulau sebatik, kejahatan transnasional dan Terorisme tidak segera diatasi. Untuk itu, upaya mitigasi untuk menangani hal tersebut antara lain: 1. Pemerataan pembangunan diwilayah Pulau Sebatik, baik fisik maupun non fisik. 2. Pemenuhan infrastruktur fasilitas publik. 3. Penambahan personel pengamanan. 4. Peningkatan Kerjasama dengan negara lain. 5. Menggali potensi Pulau Sebatik agar dapat meningkatkan perekonomian penduduk.

Abstract

Illicit drug trafficking is a global problem that spreads widely and causes extraordinary negative impacts. Illicit drug trafficking was be used as asymmetric warfare. The UN Convention of 1961 on Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances sets the international standards for drug regulation, and in Indonesia it is governed by the Law No.35 of 2009 on Narcotics. This research uses qualitative analysis method, with data collection technique in the form of literature study. The purpose of this research is to analyze the role of law in asymmetric warfare through illicit drug trafficking. The results of this research shows that the role of law in asymmetric warfare through illicit drug trafficking is related to : first, drug eradication, law provides the legal basis for law enforcement to take action against illicit drug traffickers. Second, legal channel regulation, law can be used to regulate and control legal channels that are used to provide drugs needed for medical and research purposes. Third, international sanctions, law can be used to take action against countries or groups that are suspected of being involved in the drug trade. Fourth, rehabilitation and recovery, law can be used to provide legal basis for rehabilitation and recovery programs for drug victims, both individuals or society.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate The phenomenon of increasing women's involvement in acts of terrorism, especially "lone wolf terrorism" lately needs special attention from policy makers. Women who so far seem far from violent, have in fact been involved in several cases of terrorism, even as "lone wolf terrorism". This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. The results showed that the first case of “lone wolf terrorism” in Indonesia occurred in 2021. The motivation of women to become terrorists is based on psychological and sociological aspects. Sociological level aspects include self-selected, self-radicalized and lone wolf terrorism. While the psychological aspects include: economic motives, justice motives, situational motives, social motives, superiority motives, and actualization motives.
