Abstract

The use of social media has now become a way of life. Libraries as institutions providing information services must be able to adapt to this. Currently there are many libraries that use social media, but not many libraries can make optimal use of social media. This study aims to determine the benefits of social media as a medium for disseminating library information, trends in the use of social media in libraries, what social media platforms can be used in libraries and how to optimize the use of social media for libraries. In this study the authors used qualitative methods. The data collection technique is to do a document review or literature review. Optimum use of social media can support libraries in providing the best service to users. Therefore, with the current technological developments, the library must be able to take advantage of the opportunity as well as possible to maintain the existence of the library. Abstract

The school library collaboration network is very important considering that the school library is seen as a library that lacks attention, both in terms of collection, arrangement, space, or even the librarian. Given the constraints of the library in general regarding its collection, within the scope of the school, the library is only known as a place to store student textbooks. Then the arrangement is not in accordance with the standard national classification rules, where in the school library the collection is arranged based on color or size. Then a room far from a place that should be able to preserve collections. Then the librarians, most of whom are school librarians are picket teachers, or Indonesian language teachers, or teachers who are about to retire, not librarians who are professions capable of managing libraries properly. So that all aspects in the library are arranged based on the teacher's thoughts, not based on standards that have been set as a quality library. By establishing cooperation between school libraries, it will maintain or even increase the existence of libraries in the public eye. Existence is very important to maintain the good name of the library in the public eye. Keywords: Cooperation Network, School Libraries, Library Existence

Abstract

The millennial generation is a generation that is very familiar with the use of information technology, which cannot be separated from the use of gadgets and the internet in their daily life. However, how is the behavior of the millennial generation in meeting their need for information. This article also describes the models in information browsing behavior that are commonly known. Then the information behavior that appears in today's millennial generation in fulfilling information related to information: lifestyle, lectures, general information, social life, health and future plans.
