Abstract

This research looks at information networks and information systems, as well as the challenges faced by information networks. Many things have been achieved in Indonesia through the use of information networks, one of which is a digital library; there are many facilities that can be used to serve and fulfill the wishes and needs of readers. The obstacle in building information networks in libraries is the lack of user knowledge in accessing libraries that currently use digital technology. There are still many human resources who do not want to work as IT in the library, as seen from the growth of the library's information network which is still limited. Abstract

One of the community library gardens is the smart stock community public library in Deli Serdang, Medan City. This research is to find out how the reading community in the reading garden community, the smart stock community, the city of Deli Serdang in triggering interest in reading. This research applies qualitative research procedures through descriptive and investigative approaches, questions and answers, and documentation as a technique for gathering materials. The findings of this study indicate that TBM Saham Pinang will function as a source of community education and is expected to be of benefit to the community. The increasing number of visitors to TBM shows interest. reading that grew among those who lived around. There are official and repeated visits. It can be concluded that TBM Smart Stock contributes to increasing public interest in reading. and dissemination of information. Keywords: TBM, Reading Gardens, The Role of TBM

Abstract

Introduction This paper discusses people's information seeking behavior. In fact, many university graduates are still facing serious difficulties in the job search process given the increasing unemployment rate.Method of collecting data Purposive sampling was used with 10 respondents. Interviews were used as a data collection technique.Data analysis Miles and Huberman's data analysis was used in this study to reduce, present data and draw conclusions.Results and Discussion Two barriers in seeking information come from psychological factors and interpersonal skills. Fresh graduates with low psychological and interpersonal skills, such as lack of confidence, confusion, low self-esteem, anxiety, lack of communication show ineffective search results. Situations where information sources are easily accessible support faster information retrieval and vice versa. Our informants who live in cities with easy access support the information search process.Conclusion The factors that influence information seeking behavior are psychological situation, demographic situation, interpersonal skills, environment and characteristics of information sources. These five factors influence each other. Keywords: information behavior; information search; publik; job seekers
