Abstract

Intelligent Tutoring System (ITS) has been widely used in supporting personal learning.  However, there is an aspects that have not become focus in ITS, namely immersive. This research proposes an Immersive Intelligent Tutoring (IIT) model based on Bayesian Knowledge Tracing (BKT) for determining the learner’s characteristics and learning content delivery strategies using genetic algorithms. The model uses remedial learning with a faded worked-out example. This study uses a 3-Dimensional Virtual Learning Environment (3DMUVLE) that implements immersive features to increase intrinsic motivation. This model was built using a client / server architecture. The server side component uses the MOODLE, the client side component uses OpenSim and its viewers, and the middleware component uses the Simulation Linked Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment (SLOODLE). Model testing is performed on user acceptance using a combination of Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Hedonic-Motivation System Adoption Model (HMSAM) and the impact of the model in learning using statistical test. The results showed 83% of the learners felt happy with the learning. Meanwhile, the evaluation of the impact on learning outcomes shows that the use of this model is significantly different from traditional learning.

Abstract

The research objective is to conduct a literature review regarding the philosophy of science views on science and technology, especially in the field of Education. Bibliometric analysis was carried out through mapping visualization using VOSviewer. The research method is Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Bibliometric analysis mapping has 4 stages: data search, data processing, data mapping, and data analysis. The keywords used are "Philosophy of Science" AND "Technology" with a range of 2018 - 2022. The number of articles obtained was 184 articles. The number of articles used for the literature review is 10 articles. The results show that research development has decreased from 2018 to 2020 and has increased from 2020 to 2022. Philosophy of science in the field of science and technology has many opportunities in various fields and studies within the scope of science and technology. Issues related to the philosophy of science are still quite widespread, especially for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) students, due to the lack of confidence in STEM students in the philosophy of science. The link strength value of the connection between philosophy and science is stronger when compared to the connection between philosophy and technology. This means that more researchers are linking philosophical research to science than technology. This research is expected to be a consideration in determining the research theme to be carried out, especially those related to the field of philosophy of science.

Abstract

This research started with the need the implementation of Computer-Based National Assessment (ANBK) at SD Negeri 138 Geger Kalong Girang with the condition that computer and internet network infrastructure was not available, but the implementation of ANBK had to be carried out independently. The purpose of designing this computer network infrastructure is in addition to implementing ANBK well as supporting the learning process for teachers and students for the availability of adequate internet access which can be used for learning purposes. Design of computer network infrastructure to support learning and internet facility infrastructure standards in schools is applied using the PPDIOO concept, namely, Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate and Optimize. The results of this study indicate that the computer network infrastructure planning is as expected. The ANBK implementation running normally, the results of the bandwidth usage test as a whole running normally and the internet could be accessed very well in the school environment.
