GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN REKTOR INSTITUT AGAMA ISLAM SULTAN MUHAMMAD SYAFIUDDIN SAMBAS PERIODE 2006-2020 Budiman Budiman

Abstract

The progress and withdrawal of an institution depends on the leadership of its leadership, including the private university in Sambas, namely the Sultan Muhammad Syafiuddin Sambas Islamic Religious Institute. It seems that the progress achieved by the IAIS Rector, Sambas, as the leader in carrying out the construction of higher education institutions at IAIS Sambas from 2006 to 2020.This research uses mixed methods, which combines qualitative research with quantitative research. The data techniques used in this research are observation, interview and documentation, survey, and FGD. Meanwhile, to check the validity of the data using triangulation data validity techniques, data validity checking techniques that make use of something outside the data for checking purposes or as a comparison. While data analysis in this study used data analysis based on qualitative and quantitative data analysis, namely data that had been collected and declared complete, the researcher conducted qualitative data analysis by describing data from interviews, observations, documentation, surveys and FGDs and then pulled them out conclusion. The results showed that; 1. Broadly speaking, Dr. H. Jamiat Akadol, M.Sc., MH as the Rector of IAIS Sambas in managing higher education institutions has implemented the four leadership styles according to Robbins, namely the charismatic style, transactional style, transformational style and visionary style. 2. Dr. leadership style H. Jamiat Akadol, M.Sc., MH as the Rector of IAIS Sambas which is more dominant is the Charismatic leadership style which is supported by the results of qualitative analysis and coupled with the results of the FGD. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the problems of change management in educational institutions and alternative solutions that can be pursued in overcoming these problems. This type of research uses library research. The results of the study show that the problems that often arise in the process of change in educational institutions are resistance to change and temporary change. Several factors causing the failure of the change process are: 1) changes are not planned properly; 2) ignoring the human element in managing change; 3) failure to build strong coalitions to drive change; 4) lack of outreach to internal educational institutions; and 5) the lack of innovation and the powerlessness of the change-sustaining energy. Alternative solutions are: 1) overcoming resistance to change; 2) innovate; and 3) maximizing the energy of change in educational institutions, including HR support, maximum supervision and support from technology and information systems.

Abstract

Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan permasalahan kepemimpinan visioner pada lembaga pendidikan dan alternatif pemecahan yang bisa diupayakan dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan studi kepustakaan (library research). Hasil dari studi ini setiap pemimpin suatu lembaga pendidikan Islam dituntut untuk memiliki visi, nilai, serta norma yang tajam serta mendalam. Oleh karena itu, anggotanya dapat secara tertib menyesuaikan diri serta menjalankan dan menjajaki pada suatu era kedepan. Ini menampilkan bahwa kedudukan pemimpin visioner sangat berarti buat proses itu. Tuntutan lain pemimpin diharuskan untuk sanggup mewujudkan kepemimpinannya berupa visi serta misi lewat kerja rasional serta program operasionalnya. Secara operasional, pelaksanaan kepemimpinan visioner di Lembaga pembelajaran Islam dengan menghasilkan budaya kualitas serta totalitas mutu. Orientasi serta aktualisasi budaya kualitas dapat diperoleh lewat pelaksanaan kepemimpinan visioner dalam lembaga pembelajaran Islam.
