Abstract

Like other government agencies, MICE activities are a type of activity that is very often carried out in the Ministry of Tourism. The MICE 2018 Coordination Meeting is one form of activity to drive the motivation of MICE industry stakeholders to jointly encourage the acceleration of Indonesia as a competitive MICE destination. One of the basic successes in organizing this activity is the conveying of the message meant through the program that was compiled. In designing programs that are in the implementation of activities. The Ministry of Tourism has its own rules and procedures in the preparation process for matters relating to the implementation of activities. In addition, everything that has been planned must also be coordinated and approved by the leaders within the Ministry of Tourism. This study aims to understand the importance of preparing an event program well so that the message to be conveyed to the participants of the activity can be well and clearly received. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative, through observation and experience gained during the preparation process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the process of preparing for events and pre-event management of the Lomba Lukis Kolektif Pelajar Tingkat Nasional 2018 organized by MAM EO. The method used in this study is a descriptive method where MAM EO is the object of research. This data collection technique is done through interviews, observation, documentation and literature study. The results of this study indicate that MAM EO applies pre-event management in the implementation of the Lomba Lukis Kolektif Pelajar Tingkat Nasional 2018 which are concept development, feasibility study, decision making, and implementation. The results of this study were MAM EO as the organizer of the Lomba Lukis Kolektif Pelajar Tingkat Nasional 2018 which was quite good at carrying out pre-event management even though there were some shortcomings. However, the event went according to the purpose of this event, which was to provide space for students to express their creativity and increase their potential in creating fine arts.

Abstract

The Covid-19 Pandemic that hit Indonesia at the end of 2020 caused economic paralysis. One of the affected industries is the MICE Tourism industry, MICE stakehoders are starting to look for ways to survive. One way to survive is to do activities online or virtually. Therefore, PT. Maximaindo also began to switch from event contractors to organizing virtual events by holding Indonesia & Taiwan Online Business Day regarding manufacturing machines and plastics which was held on December 7-9, 2021. This research was conducted to find out the preparation and implementation process of the Online Business Matching held between Taiwan and Indonesia, and also to find out the obstacles that existed during the event. In this study, the authors used qualitative methods with data collection through observation, interviews, library methods, and documentation. The findings obtained are in the preparation process, it is necessary to collect a filtered database and make a registration form, then contact prospective buyers and suppliers. The last stage is to compile a meeting schedule and ask for confirmation from both parties. For implementation, what needs to be prepared is a laptop, wifi, and Zoom background. The event opened with remarks and then buyers and suppliers will enter the waiting room and the operator will move buyers and suppliers according to the schedule and predetermined room. There are obstacles during preparation and implementation, one of which is network or device constraints, and problem when contacting buyers.
