Abstract

The development of information technology creates very rapid changes in human life. Especially in the field of education, this can be seen from the use of the WhatsApp group application that is used in lectures. Our observations at the Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University campus show that all lecturers and students use whatsapp groups in carrying out lectures. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of Whatsapp Group on the value of the History of Islamic Civilization course for students of the journalism study program for the 2021/2022 academic year. This type of research is included in the type of qualitative research. The research method used is survey and interview. Our survey is to limit the object of our research study. We use this type of interview to describe student satisfaction descriptively with the use of WhatsApp Groups in the History of Islamic Civilization course. In addition, we also ask for permission from Mr. Zakaria to collect data on the value of journalism students for the 2021/2022 academic year. We also questioned the obstacles to using whatsapp groups in the History of Islamic Civilization lecture. Based on the results of our study, we got a positive result. The average value of the History of Islamic Civilization in the journalism study program gets a B and A grade. This value fulfills the credit score for the Islamic History course. However, we found problems in using WhatsApp Groups. In the form of difficulty controlling students in lecture activities, lack of capacity to send video durations on whatsapp., image quality when sent to WhatsApp becomes bad, and fills cellphone memory because of the large amount of material.

Abstract

The competence of lecturers as educators has a very good position, which has a direct influence on the learning process, quality of graduates and competitive output patterns. The purpose of this study was to determine the program of coaching, implementation of coaching, and competency development of lecturers to improve student achievement at the Tarbiyah Al-Hilal Sigli College. This research was conducted at STIT Al-Hilal Sigli. The resource persons consisted of the Chairperson, lecturers and students of STIT Al-Hilal Sigli. This research is descriptive qualitative. The results of the study indicate that the long-term lecturer competency development program includes syllabus development, evaluation of lecturer performance, lecturer development that is relevant to the subjects taught through. The development of lecturer competence, especially by sending lecturers to continue their education to the Masters and Doctoral levels in various universities. The implementation of lecturer competency development is not only focused on further education, but is also carried out through activities by inviting tutors from outside, holding scientific seminars and discussions, comparative studies and partnerships, which are carried out with several Islamic universities, such as IAIN on the Java island. The existence of knowledge that is built positively can add to the experience of lecturers, thereby increasing their competence as teaching staff and educators. Obstacles in developing lecturer competencies, limited student programs, there are still many lecturers who do not master foreign languages, especially Arabic and English.

Abstract

Learning outcomes are the main goals that must be achieved by learning activities. Learning outcomes are used to determine how well students understand and are able to understand the material. The achievement of student learning outcomes is related to cognitive, emotional, and psychomotor aspects. From this, it can be concluded that learning outcomes are abilities possessed by students after going through the learning process at school, related to their knowledge, and can be measured by measuring them in the form of numerical tests. Learning outcomes in the world of education are measured by assessments carried out after the learning process. The results of this study provide an overview of students' progress in participating in learning from time to time. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of student management on the learning achievement of class IX students at MAN 4 Pidie Jaya. The populations in this study were students of class IX MAN 4 Pidie Jaya. The determination of the sample design used in this study was based on the purposive sampling method with 60 students obtained and then 35 students were drawn as samples. The data analysis method in this study uses simple linear regression to predict the effect of the independent variables. The results show that student management has a significant effect on learning achievement, which means student management also means the entire process of planned and considered activities, as well as continuous student development so that the learning process from student registration to withdrawal can be tracked effectively and efficiently.

Abstract

This study aims to determine management strategies for improving student achievement. The research method used in this study was a descriptive analysis. The research approach used was qualitative. Data collection techniques were carried out the library research method. The results showed that the management strategy to improve student performance is to monitor all routine activities that occur every day. The principal carries out daily leadership activities that are environmentally friendly, familial, and democratic and always prioritizes cooperation rather than selfishness for the benefit of students and all staff. Principals are also involved to assist teachers, staff, and employees in monitoring student success. In addition, as a pioneer in improving student achievement, school leaders become a top priority in the teaching and learning process.
