<![CDATA[AbstractUnemployment is an economic and social problem related to a country's economic growth that needs to be addressed, with the population growing so that the number of the labor force continues to increase every year. The review of this study aims to find out how much influence economic growth and the number of labor force have on the number of unemployed in the city of Semarang. This research is a type of quantitative research using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency of Semarang City in 2009-2021. The analysis in this study is using multiple linear regression analysis seen from constanta values, T tests, and F tests and based on classical assumption tests, namely normality, heteroskedasticity, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation tests. The results of the analysis based on constant values and coefficients show that there is an increase in the number of unemployed and economic growth is related to the variable unemployment which is not in the same direction. Based on the T test variable (X1) shows that for every 1 increase in economic growth, the number of unemployed will decrease and the variable (X2) will increase by 1 each in the economic growth variable, so the number of unemployed will increase. Based on the F test, economic growth and the number of labor force have a significant effect on the number of unemployed. Based on the Adjusted value (????2) it shows that the number of unemployed is influenced by economic growth and the number of the workforce.Keywords: Labor Force; Unemployment; Economic Growth AbstrakPengangguran merupakan masalah ekonomi dan sosial yang berkaitan dengan pertumbuhan ekonomi suatu negara yang perlu diatasi, dengan jumlah penduduk yang bertambah, sehingga jumlah angkatan kerja terus meningkat setiap tahunnya. Tinjauan dari penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh pertumbuhan ekonomi dan jumlah angkatan kerja terhadap jumlah pengangguran di kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan menggunakan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Semarang Tahun 2009-2021. Analisis dalam penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan analisis regresi linear berganda dengan uji statistik menggunakan uji T, uji F, dan koefesien determinasi R2 dan berdasarkan uji asumsi klasik yaitu uji normalitas, heteroskedastisitas, multikolinieritas, dan autokorelasi. Hasil analisis berdasarkan nilai konstanta dan koefesien menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan jumlah pengangguran dan pertumbuhan ekonomi mempunyai keterkaitan terhadap variabel pengangguran yang tidak searah. Berdasarkan uji t variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi menunjukkan setiap peningkatan 1% pertumbuhan ekonomi, maka jumlah pengangguran mengalami penurunan dan variabel angkatan kerja setiap mengalami peningkatan sebesar 1% pada variabel pertumbuhan ekonomi, maka jumlah pengangguran akan mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan uji F pertumbuhan ekonomi dan jumlah angkatan kerja berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah pengangguran.
