Abstract

Water is one of the food products analyzed in water chemistry and environmental laboratories. One of the parameters analyzed are organic substances. The number of samples that were not comparable with the analytical skills can cause delays in test results. Analytical Hierarchy Process applied to evaluate the analytical methods used. Alternative methods tested include titrimetric method, spectrophotometry, and total organic carbon (TOC). Respondents consisted of deputy technical manager, laboratory coordinator, and two senior analysts. Alternative results obtained are methods of TOC. Proposed improvements alternative analytical method based on the results obtained, the method of the TOC with a 10-15 minute analysis time and use of CRM to the validity of the analysis results.

Abstract

Proteksi katodik digunakan untuk melindungi struktur logam yang tertanam di dalam elektrolit yang konduktif seperti tanah dari serangan korosi dengan cara membanjiri struktur yang dilindungi dengan elektro sehingga struktur logam menjadi lebih brsifat katodik. Kondisi tanah yang bersifat korosif akan menentukan pemberian proteksi pada struktur agar tetap dapat berfungsi dengan baik hingga waktu yang ditentukan, permasalahannya adalah berupa arus dan tegangan serta jumlah anoda yang dibutuhkan agar struktur yang ditanam dalam tanah tersebut terproteksi hingga umur desain yang telah direncanakan. Dalam pengujian uji tarik dan pengujian komposisi kimia menunjukkan material API 5L Grade B dapat dinyatakan layak secara konstruksi sebagai pipa material kondesat. Sementara dari hasil uji metalografi dan SEM Edax dan laju korosi sistem proteksi katodik layak secara desain untuk dipasang pada jalur pipa kondesat dengan material API 5L Grade B dan secara umum, jalur pipa kondesat dengan material API 5L Grade B yang dipasangi sistem proteksi katodik dapat dinyatakan layak secara operasional. Kata Kunci : proteksi katodik sacrificial anode, material Api 5L Grade B
