Abstract

This study aims to determine the application of smart card-playing techniques to improve learning motivation and learning outcomes of science learners. The medium used is a smart card, a card which contains information contained in the subject matter learning objectives are packaged in the form of questions and answers. The research was conducted in SMP Negeri 1 Temanggung learners of class VIII G in 2nd semester Academic Year 2014/2015. The method used is a Class Action Research. Data collection methods used were questionnaires, pre-test and post-test. The research data in the form of learning outcomes IPA concept of test and motivation to learn is obtained from the questionnaire motivation. Statistical analysis showed in the first cycle an average yield is 56,67of pretest increased to an average is 70,58of posttes; the second cycle average is 62,24of pretest increased to an average is 80,86of posttest and third cycle average is 70,26 of pretest increased to an average is 84,24 of posttest While the motivation of learners increased by 86% from the prior-treated. Based on the results of the research, processing and data analysis and hypothesis testing measures taken in this study, we concluded that the application of smart card play technique can enhance learning motivation and learning outcomes of class VIIIG students of SMP Negeri 1 Temanggung.This study aims to determine the application of smart card-playing techniques to improve learning motivation and learning outcomes of science learners. Abstract

Abstrak ___________________________________________________________________ Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran virtual berbasis Quipper School untuk meningkatkan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Temanggung tahun ajaran 2014/2015. Quipper School merupakan media pembelajaran virtual berbasis internet yang di dalamnya terdapat berbagai materi pembelajaran, kuis atau pertanyaan-pertanyaan dan animasi dalam materi. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMP N 1 Temanggung, dimana kelas VIII D sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas VIII G sebagai kelas eksperiman. Kelas eksperimen menggunakan pembelajaran virtual berbasis Quipper School, sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Analisis data akhir dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis uji manova. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pembelajaran dengan quipper school memberikan pengaruh lebih baik dari pada pembelajaran dengan metode konvensional. Hal tersebut dibuktikan dari analisis dengan menggunakan uji manova. Pada analisis dengan uji manova diperoleh pengaruh yang linear antara pembelajaran quipper school dengan motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar peserta didik. Diperoleh nilai rata-rata hasil belajar peserta didik (posttest) lebih tinggi dari pada pembelajaran metode konvensional yaitu 83 dengan taraf ketuntasan peserta didik adalah 100 %. Quipper School is an internet-based virtual learning medium in which there are a variety of learning materials, quizzes or questions and animation in the material. Subjects in this study were students of class VIII SMP N 1 Temanggung, where the class D as the control class VIII and VIII G as a class experiment. Class-based experiments using virtual learning Quipper School, while the control group using conventional learning models. Final data analysis was done by using MANOVA test analysis. Based on the results of the study showed that learning with school quipper give better effect than on learning with conventional methods. This is evidenced from the analysis using MANOVA test. In the analysis by Manova test obtained linear effect between learning quipper school with learning motivation and learning outcomes of students. Average values obtained learning outcomes of students (posttest) higher than the conventional method of learning that is 83 with a level of mastery of students was 100%.
