<![CDATA[This paper examines legal protection for prospective notaries who are apprenticed at a notary office. The formulation of the problems in this study are First, how is the implementation of the applicable provisions in the implementation of internships for prospective notaries? Second, how is the legal protection for prospective notaries who do not get an internship at a notary recommended by the DIY regional administrator of the Indonesian Notary Association? This is a normative juridical research. The approach that is used in this research is the statutory approach. The analysis used a qualitative descriptive method. Based on the results of the study it is concluded that First, the number of notary candidates is not proportional to the availability of a notary office recommended by the Association. There is no standard curriculum. Lack of knowledge from notary interns when accepting prospective notaries. There are notaries who do not recommend, but still accept apprentices by providing guarantees to request an internship certificate from the recommended notary. Notary candidates are less active in seeking internship information. There is a shift in the orientation of internships to earn income. Second, legal protection for prospective notaries who do not get an internship at a notary whose recommendation is that the prospective notary must actively report the problem to the Regional Management where the prospective notary is undergoing internship to be transferred to the recommended notary office.Key Word: Notary Candidate, Internship, Legal Protection AbstrakBahwa tesis ini meneliti tentang perlindungan hukum bagi calon notaris yang magang di kantor notaris. Rumusan masalah pada penelitian ini adalah Pertama, bagaimana implementasi ketentuan yang berlaku dalam pelaksanaan magang bagi calon notaris? Kedua, bagaimana perlindungan hukum terhadap calon notaris yang tidak mendapatkan tempat magang di notaris yang direkomendasikan oleh pengurus wilayah DIY Ikatan notaris Indonesia?. Jenis Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian yuridis normatif. Pendekatan yang akan digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan perundang-undangan. Analisis menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa, Pertama, jumlah calon notaris tidak sebanding dengan ketersediaan kantor notaris yang direkomendasikan oleh Perkumpulan. Tidak adanya kurikulum baku. Kurangnya pengetahuan dari notaris penerima magang ketika menerima calon notaris. Ada oknum notaris yang tidak rekomendasi, namun tetap menerima pemagang dengan memberikan jaminan untuk memintakan surat keterangan magang dari notaris yang direkomendasi. Kurang aktifnya calon notaris untuk mencari informasi magang. Terjadinya pergeseran orientasi magang untuk mendapatkan penghasilan. Kedua, perlindungan hukum terhadap calon notaris yang tidak mendapatkan tempat magang di notaris yang rekomendasi adalah calon notaris harus aktif melaporkan permasalahan tersebut kepada Pengurus Wilayah tempat calon notaris menjalani magang untuk dapat dipindahkan ke kantor notaris yang direkomendasi.Kata-kata Kunci: Calon notaris, Magang, Perlindungan Hukum]]>
