Abstract

This study aims to describe the Analysis of Language Errors in Outgoing Letters at the Buru Regency Education and Culture Office. The research design used in this research is descriptive qualitative, namely collecting, processing, analyzing, and presenting data objectively regarding the research object, namely language errors in outgoing letters at the Education and Culture Office of Buru Regency, language errors at the level of capital letters, marks read, and the form of writing sentences contained in outgoing letters at the Buru Regency Education and Culture Office and Their Implementation in Teaching Indonesian. The techniques used to collect data in this study were techniques, observation, documentation and note-taking techniques to retrieve data in official letters, in outgoing letters at the Department of Education, Culture and Buru District. The results of the study found three problems in writing Indonesian spelling, namely the problem of writing capital letters, the problem of using diction and the use of punctuation marks. In the problem of using punctuation marks, several problems were found including. Problems in using period punctuation (.), error in using comma punctuation (,), error in using hyphen (-), error in using hyphen (–), error in using hyphen (()) , and errors in the use of italics (/).
