Abstract

The problem of climate change that is felt by all countries including Indonesia is one of the environmental issues that can threaten life. The ratification of the Paris Agreement into law shows evidence of Indonesia's commitment to the issue of climate change. This study will discuss the role and steps taken by Indonesia, especially in mitigating climate change. This research is a normative research using a statutory approach, a historical approach, and a conceptual approach. From these problems, it can be concluded that the role and steps of legal policy in mitigating climate change in Indonesia are the result of the transformation of values from international agreements to the local level.
