Abstract

The purpose of this study was to look at research trends and the distribution of research on the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model. The research method used is a bibliometric analysis method using the Publish or Perish and Vos Viewer applications. The number of publications on the Missouri Mathematics Project Learning Model was 177 articles from 2012 – 2022. There was a constant number of publications between 2014 – 2017 and a significant increase in 2018. Then the number of publications decreased in 2021 and 2022. Visualization results from the application Vos Viewer shows there are two clusters and each cluster has four variables each. The dominant variable is the Missouri Mathematics Project variable. This indicates that the Missouri Mathematics Project learning model has been extensively researched. Variables that are rarely researched are variables about effectiveness and study. For the next researcher, you can include the effectiveness or study variable as a research variable.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate students' problem-solving skills in SPLDV material assisted by the geogebra application. This research is a qualitative research with a case study approach. The sample in this study was students of class VIII at the junior high school level who were selected and could represent the case studies in this study. The method used is a seven-step case study approach, namely 1) identifying special cases in a group of students, 2) selecting several cases for the problem, 3) collecting qualitative data in the form of observation, 4) interviews and documentation, 5) analyzing data using MAXQDA, 6 ) describes the cases and themes that have been revealed, 7) compiles a chronology of cases and themes, and draws conclusions. The results of this case study research revealed that the sample of students had good problem-solving skills with the help of the Geogebra website.

Abstract

This research aims to observe and determine the benefits of implementing mathematics learning videos on the YouTube platform. This research is included in the type of descriptive qualitative research. The data collection method used in this research was a questionnaire given to class VIII students. The sample in this study was taken as many as thirty students. The data source in this research is the results of questionnaires that have been filled out by students. Before the questionnaire is given to students, the questionnaire is tested for validity and reliability first and the results show that the questionnaire is valid and reliable. Questionnaires were distributed to students after students watched mathematics learning videos on the given YouTube platform. Data is processed through stages 1) data examination, 2) classification, 3) verification, 4) analysis, 5) drawing conclusions. The results of this research show that learning videos on the YouTube platform are effective in helping students learn mathematics, and YouTube videos can help overcome students' difficulties in understanding, and YouTube videos can be useful for training students' mathematical problem solving abilities.
