Abstract

The success and achievement of a company's goals is determined by the strategic role of its Human Resources (HR). Efforts are being made to achieve this, namely continuously optimizing the role of HR towards improving performance in supporting the sustainability of the organization/company. The hospital is a human resource-intensive organization due to the many professions involved in it. With many professions in the hospital, there are many problems that often arise which can ultimately hinder employee performance. One such problem is turnover. The purpose of this study is to explain the relationship between compensation and job insecurity with employee turnover intention at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. Quantitative with a survey approach is the type of research used in this study. The research design used is cross-sectional. The population in this study were all employees at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital as many as 891 workers with a sample of 63 people who were taken using a purposive sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the chi square test with a significance level of 5% (CI=95%). The results showed that there is a relationship between compensation and turnover intention (p value = 0.006) and there is no relationship between job insecurity (p value = 0.184). It is hoped that decision makers in each agency will pay more attention to the needs of employees so that employees feel comfortable in carrying out their work.

Abstract

Safety communication is an interaction activity carried out by one worker with another worker so that the work carried out can run well and does not cause miscommunication which results in work accidents. Implementation of occupational safety and health communication aims to create safe behavior among workers. Prevention efforts that can reduce work accidents are by providing counseling about the application of safety communication. This PKM activity aims to educate employees about safe safety communication to workers. The method used in this activity includes counseling and discussion. This activity was carried out at the Tanjung Morawa PLN Office, Deli Serdang Regency. The targets for this activity were employees at the Tanjung Morawa PLN Office, Deli Serdang Regency, totaling 50 people. This activity was carried out in November 2022. The mechanism for implementing PKM activities is through several procedures which include: conducting a preliminary survey, arranging permits, coordination meetings, preparing facilities and infrastructure, preparing materials, preparing instruments, implementing activities and evaluating activities. From the results of the activities that have been carried out, it shows that the majority of participants have a working period of <5 years as much as 64%, the majority have high school education as much as 50%. There was an increase in knowledge about work safety communication before and after counseling by 38%. All participants in the activity took part in the activity enthusiastically. This PKM activity is expected to provide value to the community, especially workers at PT PLN Tanjung Morawa
