Abstract

Research and analysis conducted by the author this time talking about the "effectiveness of students Learning At Home".  In the era of technological developments such as today's students are required to be able to divide their time between learning by playing gadgetnya. It is intended that students can compete with thousands of other students who are in Indonesia and even in foreign countries. This study aims to determine the suitability of the theory of the effectiveness of student learning at home with the facts that occurred in the field. This research included in this type of research to find out information as well as the alignment of the theory which refers to the expert opinion in the field. objects in this study were students from two different educational levels in order to create sustainable results with theory and that happens on the field. The objects of this study are that the authors take some students from two different levels of education is high school education level xl class either sains or social and the junior high school level VII class or class VIII.

Abstract

Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif Team Quiz dalam pembelajaran sejarah dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Sejarah. Peningkatan keaktifan siswa terbukti dengan diperoleh rata-rata keaktifan siswa dari total skor angket belajar siswa kelas eksperimen dengan total skor angket (ΣX) sebesar 4870, nilai terbesar siswa (Xmax) adalah 133 dan nilai terkecil (Xmin) adalah 93 dengan mean atau rata-rata () sebesar 116.6. sedangkan pada kelas kontrol, total skor angket belajar yang diperoleh (ΣX) sebesar 4408, nilai terbesar siswa (Xmax) adalah 130 dan nilai terkecil (Xmin) adalah 83, dengan mean atau rata-rata () sebesar 107.57.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa melalui penerapan strategi pembelajaran aktif Team Quiz dalam pembelajaran sejarah dapat meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran Sejarah. Abstract

Abstract  This research aimed to improve students’ vocabulary using realia to class VII F students of SMP Negeri 1 Sungai Raya in Academic Year 2017/2018. This research was conducted based on the problems found in the classroom. It was found that students had difficulties in understanding on meaning of words, spelling and pronunciation. This research was conducted through a Classroom Action Research in two cycles to 32 students of class VII F. In collecting the data, the researcher used observation and measurement technique. The tools of collecting data were observation checklist, field notes and test. The qualitative data were analyzed using the following procedure: organizing the data, describing the data and building interpretation. For the quantitative data were analyzed by finding and comparing the mean score of the test in cycle 1 and cycle 2. Based on the findings in this research, it was  found that using realia in teaching and learning improved students’ understanding on meaning of words, ability in spelling and ability in pronuncing the words. Besides, the presence of the things interests the students in teaching and learning in the classroom. Keywords: Improve, Vocabulary, Realia.
