Abstract

Proportional reasoning is closely related to everyday life. Conditions in schools show that there are still many students who still have difficulty in mastering proportional reasoning. Many studies have been conducted to overcome this. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of research related to environmental mathematics learning interventions in developing students' proportional reasoning abilities. The method used is a systematic literature review (SLR) using the PRISMA protocol. The databases used are Google Scholar, Scopus, and ERIC in the 2018-2023 year of publication. There are several interventions carried out and discussed in the research results. Research related to interventions in the mathematics learning environment in developing students' proportional reasoning abilities has fluctuated in the 2018-2023 range, most were carried out in 2018 as many as 14 studies, most were carried out in junior high school demonstrations, namely 23 studies, the most widely used research method was quantitative method, namely 20 studies, Indonesia being the country that conducted the most research, namely 14 studies, and sample sizes in the range of 30-99 samples were the most widely used samples.

Abstract

Mathematics learning difficulties are an important aspect to be addressed in learning. By developing students' metacognition skills, learning difficulties can be minimized. Many studies have been conducted related to students' mathematics learning difficulties in terms of metacognition abilities. The purpose of this study is to determine the heterogeneity of research based on the year of publication, level of education, research methods used, demographics of the research country, and the type of learning difficulties experienced by students seen from the indicators of metacognition ability. The method used in this research is Systematic Literature Review (SLR) based on a quantitative descriptive approach using the PRISMA protocol. The results showed that the analysis of students' mathematics learning difficulties in terms of metacognition ability was most widely published in 2021 at the junior high school level. Indonesia dominates research with similar topics and uses qualitative research methods. Most of the mathematics learning difficulties experienced by students are seen from the classification of metacognition ability categories, namely classifying objects based on the requirements for forming concepts, identifying the properties of operations or mathematical concepts and symbols.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the relevant previous research landscape related to mathematical literacy in mathematics learning from 1979 to 2023 using bibliometric analysis. Data were taken from the Scopus database of 578 and refined into 112 publications. Based on the results of the bibliometric analysis, it was found that 2022 would be the year for the most published articles, namely 12 articles. The trend of citations related to mathematical literacy in learning mathematics occurred in 2015 as many as 295 citations. South African countries are countries that publish articles related to mathematical literacy in learning mathematics with 26 publications and 20 collaboration links with other countries. Of the 112 journals that have published research related to this field, 46 of them have been published in Q1 journals. The focus of research related to literacy in learning mathematics is 1) gender and students; 2) numeracy; 3) mathematics education.
