Closed when the information has been obtained in accordance with the research objectives. Researchers maintain that no judgment against participants from previous participants' understanding. Researchers writing non-verbal expressions are important participants in favor of expression participants using field notes. Field notes to document the use of non-verbal participants, the atmosphere during the interview for later incorporated in the transcript. Result: The results of this study are in the form of theme. Abstract

Background: The addition of roads and the use of motor vehicles cause disproportionate number of victims of traffic accidents increased, but the increase in the highest number occurs more frequently in developing countries. The high number of accidents causing higher fracture rates, and one of the conditions most frequently occurring fracture is a fracture of the femur, which belongs to a group of three large cases of fracture caused by a traffic accident and had to undergo surgery with consequent effects obtained pain after surgery. Objective: To investigate the effect of deep breathing relaxation techniques to decrease pain levels in patients with postoperative femoral fracture Methods: The experimental approach to sampling and design purpusif pairod t-test and independent t-test to determine the effect of deep breathing on pain in patients with postoperative femoral fracture. Results: The mean is given before and after a deep breath and do not give a breather in the treatment group compared with the control group showed that the results of the treatment group decreased by 2.8 points, 95% CI = - (3:55 to 2:04) t = -7.6 p = 0:00. This means that there is a significant difference in the mean difference in pain reduction between the groups were given a deep breath than those not given a deep breath. Conclusion: After doing research on getting the results that deep breathing relaxation techniques can reduce postoperative pain in patients with fractures of the femur.

Abstract

Background: Chemotherapy is one of the management of cancer by administering a chemical compound (drug) to reduce, eliminate or inhibit the growth of cancer cells. One of the commonly used chemotherapy drugs are 5-Fluorouracil (5-fu) to the toxic effect is oral mucositis. Resulting in impired function of the mouth in general, lower quality of life, pain, malnutrition, even to the delay chemotherapy or adjustment/reduction of dose, this will lead to increased day care of patients in the hospital. Method: The application using the case study method with the application of the evidence based practice (EBN) Settler model. Result: Oral cryotherapy can reduce the incidence of oral mucositis and well tolerated and there were no adverse effects on the local or systemic treatment of oral cryotherapy. Conclusion: The effectiveness of nursing interventions that have been based on the EBN in helping to overcome the problem of oral mucositis in patients receiving chemotherapy 5-fu.

Abstract

Background: Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that begins in the breast cells. It can grow quickly and attack the surrounding tissues, or it can also spread to areas that are far from the malignant cell. Breast cancer patients often experience chronic pain conditions. The pain occurs due to the rapid and malignant growth of the disease, which changes the structure of the tissue and its functions, which finally results in pain. This study is aimed at determining the description of the pain in breast cancer patients. Method: The research design used in this study was a simple quantitative descriptive method with a cross-sectional design to determine the description of the pain in the post-mastectomy breast cancer patients. This study involved 32 respondents. Result: The results showed the characteristics of the respondents’ pain as follows: feeling being stabbed 50%, feeling hard pain 18.7%, and feeling numbness 18.7%. The degree of the pain felt by the patients was mild pain by 100%. The location of the most pain was 46.875% in the legs and 21.875 in the hands. The duration of the pain felt by the patients was > 5 minutes felt by 65.625%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the description of pain in the post-mastectomy breast cancer patients is a mild pain in the area of legs that requires further nursing intervention.
