<![CDATA[Berdasarkan hasil observasi awal, keterampilan menceritakan kembali cerita anak peserta didik kelas VII H SMP Negeri 16 Semarang masih rendah.Hal ini disebabkan kurangnya pemahaman peserta didik terhadap inti cerita.Solusi yang tepat untuk mengatasi permasalahan tersebut adalah penggunaan metode SQ3R dan cerita anak yang bermuatan pendidikan karakter.Penelitian dilakukan dua siklus, yaitu siklus I dan siklus II,tiap siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Proses pembelajaran menceritakan kembali cerita anak pada peserta didik kelas VII H SMP Negeri 16 Semarang mengalami perubahan yang cukup baik. Nilai rata-rata peserta didik pada siklus I sebesar 70,85masuk dalam kategori cukup.Pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan dengan nilai yang mencapai batas ketuntasan dengan rata-rata sebesar 80,78dan masuk dalam ketegori baik. Hal ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 9,93. Setelah peserta didik menggunakan metode SQ3R dan cerita anak bermuatan pendidikan karakter untuk menceritakan kembali cerita anak terjadi perubahan perilaku peserta didik ke arah yang lebih baik.Based on the first observations results, the childrenâs retelling story skill of students of class VII H SMP Negeri 16 Semarang is low. This is due to lack of students understanding to the story contents. The right solution to solve the problems is by using SQ3R method and childrenâs stories with character education. The study was conducted in two cycles, the first cycle and the second cycle, each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The learning process of children retelling story in the VII H grade students of SMP Negeri 16 Semarang changed quite good. The of studentsâ average value in the first cycle is 70,75 which is categorized enough. Then, in the second cycle the average value was increase which reached the limit of completeness with an average of 80,78and in good category. This shows an enhancement from the first cycle to the second cycle by 9,93. After the learners used SQ3R method and childrenâs stories with character education to retelling the children story, their behavior changed into better.]]>
