Abstract

There are three important social-cultural functions of literary works. First, the assumption that literary work is at the same level as the work of a priest or prophet. Second, the notion that the most important thing for the literary work is entertains. Third, the assumption that literary works should teach something with using entertaining system. The linkage of literary works to social-cultural systems can be further known by studying the value of relationships in literary works with the value of system in society. The value in literature is the system of social norms imposed in literary works, and the value of system in society is the norm system prevailing in the daily life of society. Ideally literary works should bring innovation, means renewal to the society. Therefore, the deviations of values in literary works do not imply the defiance of the standard conventions of social norms. Such deviations signify the creation of cultural dynamics, the establishment of new values. At the same time its open opportunities for people to move continuously, reconstructing thought to become more critical, analytical, and humanistic.

Abstract

Information technology causes cultural transformation that makes global culture is formed. Cultural products called local-genius (local wisdom) are increasingly rare, including art and literature. Classical literature is no longer lived as the orientation of the great values of the past, but is considered a cultural artifact. For modern literature when an author recognizes new conventions and values in his mind, then when he perceives and creates them into literary works, in fact he has made hybrid literature. In biology, hybrid is the result of crossing between one species with another species, naturally or through manipulation. If you look at the origins of language and literature, modern literature is actually hybrid literature, we called modern Indonesian. Really, modern Indonesian author were limited to updating the disclosure method. Basically they remain grounded in the traditions and culture that gave birth to them, which have local-genius (localwisdom).Keywords: Hybrid literature; local wisdom; tradition; culture.IntisariTeknologi informasi menyebabkan terjadi transformasi kebudayaan sehingga terbentuk kebudayaan global. Produk kebudayaan yang disebut local-genius (kearifan lokal) semakin langka, termasuk seni dan sastra. Sastra klasik tidak lagi dihayati sebagai orientasi nilai-nilai masa lampau yang agung, tetapi dianggap sebagai artefak kebudayaan. Bagi sastra modern ketika seorang pengarang mengenal konvensi dan nlai-nilai baru dalam pikirannya, maka ketika ia meresepsi dan mengkreasinya menjadi karya sastra sesungguhnya ia telah membuat sastra hibrida. Dalam ilmu biologi hibrida adalah hasil penyilangan antara satu spesies dengan spesies lain, secara alamiah atau melalui rekayasa. Sebenarnya sastra modern adalah sastra hibrida, hasil penyilangan dari berbagai bahasa dan kebudayaan termasuk sastra Indonesia modern. Meskipun, sebenarnya sastra hibrida tetap mengakar pada budaya etnik penciptanya. Pengarang sastra Indonesia modern sebenarnya hanya sebatas memperbarui cara pengungkapan. Secara esensial mereka tetap berpijak pada tradisi dan budaya yang melahirkannya, yang memiliki local-genius (kearifan local).Kata kunci: Sastra hibrida; kearifan lokal; tradisi; kebudayaan

Abstract

Some literary experts say that literary works are cultural objects and production is an industrial process. When literature enters the territory of production then the laws imposed upon itself are industrial law. That is why when talking about the production of literary works means dealing with laws (read: systems, mechanisms, and strategies) imposed by the institutions of production, i.e. publishers. Whereas in industrial business competition, every producing institution besides applying the conventional laws of industry, also develops distinctive internal laws to maintain the competitive power of its institution against the strength of other producing institutions.Modern publishers as a book-producing institution must creatively develop their industrial laws to compete with other publishers of the same kind. Starting from the above references in chicklit and teenlit novel Indonesia's production article will discuss chicklit and teenlit novel production mechanism and mechanism covering three publishers, namely Elex Media Komputindo, GagasMedia, and Gramedia Pustaka Utama. The system and production mechanism referred to is in the case of editing the manuscript. The editing of the manuscript includes the selection of manuscripts, structuring of languages, arrangement of settings, and final alignment.

Acquisition of manuscripts includes hunting and auction of manuscripts. IntisariBeberapa ahli sastra mengatakan bahwa karya sastra adalah obyek budaya dan produksi adalah proses industri. Ketika sastra memasuki wilayah produksi maka hukum yang dikenakan pada dirinya sendiri adalah hukum industri. Itulah mengapa ketika berbicara tentang produksi karya sastra berarti berurusan dengan hukum (baca: sistem, mekanisme, dan strategi) yang dikenakan oleh institusi manufaktur, yaitu penerbit. Sedangkan dalam persaingan bisnis industri, setiap lembaga produksi selain menerapkan hukum industri konvensional, juga mengembangkan undang-undang internal yang khas untuk mempertahankan daya saing lembaga mereka terhadap kekuatan lembaga produksi lainnya. Penerbit modern sebagai lembaga pembuat buku harus secara kreatif mengembangkan undang-undang industrinya agar dapat bersaing dengan penerbit lain yang serupa. Dari referensi di atas dalam novel chicklit dan teenlit, artikel ini akan membahas mekanisme dan mekanisme produksi novel chicklit dan teenlit yang meliputi tiga penerbit, yaitu Elex Media Komputindo, GagasMedia, dan Gramedia Pustaka Utama. Sistem dan mekanisme produksi yang dimaksud termasuk akuisisi naskah. Akuisisi manuskrip termasuk berburu dan melelang manuskrip.

Abstract

The simplicity of the expression and meaning of literary works of Mustofa Bisri is seen in the simplicity of the use of its poetic and aesthetic. The simplicity of the poetic and aesthetic means includes the elements of the structure of literary works and the manner in which they are expressed. The elements of the structure of literary works include typography, sounds, diction, images, and meaning. The simplicity of typography is seen in the freedom of the traditional ties and conventions of the theoretical structure of the poetical visualization. The simplicity of the sound is seen in the beauty, fusion, harmony, wholeness, and simplicity of its orchestration so it is more beautiful if Gus Mus's literary works are spoken. The simplicity of diction is seen in its attachment by clichés, classics, and bombastic, but in the election of words that are normally used to conversing and joking in everyday communication. The simplicity of his imagination is seen in the picture of wishful passage in and around the dwelling; next door neighbors, food stalls, markets, and everyday events: working, watching television, worshiping. The simplicity of meaning is seen in the reasonableness and calm it produces, namely the ability to dampen turmoil, not only the turmoil of body and soul, but also social unrest.

Abstract

In the context of promotion there are interesting phenomena related to the process of traveling chicklit and teenlit novels since going out from the publisher's warehouse to the readers. The process is through systems and mechanisms that involve many professional workers outside the field of literature. They are the marketing profession; from a public-relation, sales-promotion, to event organizers. To spread the chicklit and teenlit novels, team-work utilizes mass psychology conditions. The potential for public consumerism is exploited through various strategies. Every major publisher such as Elex Media Komputindo, GagasMedia, and Gramedia Pustaka Utama, has a promotion and marketing division that is responsible for selling products and ensuring the smooth distribution of products to consumers in the broadest range of regions. This business involves professional workers in certain fields that work in synergy. Promotional tips are carried out through event launching, book launching, book reviews, "meet the authors", and others. That way, marketing novels is not enough just to be stacked in a shop window, but promoted on a large scale through magazines, newspapers, book covers, even on-line bookstores (e-shop) on the internet.
