Abstract

Education is a process of forming human character that leads to independent life, requires a mature and planned arrangement in order to improve human quality. Character education is an important issue that is often discussed by all parties. This issue has strengthened because there has been an erosion of noble values such as honesty, decency, and togetherness which form the identity of the Indonesian nation. The root of the problem is that formal education in schools prioritizes intellectual intelligence, while emotional and spiritual intelligence is neglected from the national character building agenda. To restore the lost noble values, it is necessary to innovate the curriculum with an emphasis on character education. In this case Islamic education can be used as a reference. Because Islamic Education which aims to form a personality with akhlakul karimah which is ontologically based on the values imprinted in the Qur'an and Hadith is in line with the desired character education.

Abstract

Basic administration is very important in Islamic education, because without good administration it is very difficult for Islamic education to run smoothly to achieve the expected goals, namely the formation of a Muslim personality and piety to Allah SWT. In the administrative process, the main functions are planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. Planning in the administration of Islamic education really determines the goals to be achieved by an organization in Islamic education that will be able to run smoothly if there are principles of freedom of justice and deliberation. The actuating (implementation) function is to lead, including providing motivation, directing subordinates to work with high willingness and efficiency to achieve organizational goals. Finally, the controlling (supervision) function in Islamic education is a continuous monitoring process to ensure the consistent implementation of planning, both material and spiritual. The basic principles of administration in Islamic education include faith and morals, justice and equality, deliberation and division of work and tasks.
