Abstract

Pendekatan kuantitatif digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pengembangan spiritual dan mental dan prestasi akademik taruna, dan pendekatan kualitatif digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat pelaksanaan pembangunan spiritual dan mental untuk taruna Politeknik Ilmu Pelayaran Semarang. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa (1) ada hubungan antara latihan fisik, kegiatan, dan kehadiran mereka di asrama dan prestasi akademik taruna. (2) Faktor-faktor yang menghambat pelaksanaan pembangunan spiritual dan mental meliputi (a) latar belakang yang berbeda dari karir, (b) lebih sedikit waktu tersedia untuk merencanakan pengembangan spiritual dan mental, (c) tidak adanya sebuah komite untuk mengevaluasi pengembangan spiritual dan mental, (d) koordinasi yang kurang antara karir, (e) tidak adanya hukuman fisik yang mengakibatkan pelanggaran peraturan, (f) tidak ada perawatan dari karir dan kuliah, (g) sejumlah karier, (h) taruna malas mempengaruhi orang lain untuk mengikuti perilaku mereka. (3) Berdasarkan wawancara, beberapa faktor yang yang mendukung pengembangan spiritual dan mental meliputi (a) pernyataan dari taruna bahwa mereka akan mengikuti aturan, (b) adanya pertibtar, (c) baik sarana dan prasarana, (d) taruna tinggal di asrama sehingga kontrol mudah, (e) seragam taruna memakainya mudah untuk mengaturnya, (f) junior menghormati senior mereka, dan senior menghormati guru mereka, (g) pengawasan ketat orangtua ke taruna (h) ketersediaan karir di asrama untuk mengontrol kegiatan taruna dan (i) pemantauan pengembangan spiritual dan mental.The quantitative approach is used to find out the relationship between the spiritual and mental development and the cadets’ academic achievement, and the qualitative approach is used to find out the factors that support and hinder the implementation of the spiritual and mental development for the cadets’ of Semarang Merchant Marine Polytechnics. The results of the analysis show that (1) there is a relationship between the physical exercises, cadets’ activities, and their presence in the dormitory and the cadets’ academic achievement. (2) Factors that hinder the implementation of the spiritual and mental development include (a) different basic background of the careers, (b) less available time for planning the spiritual and mental development, (c) the absence of a committee for evaluating the spiritual and mental development, (d) less coordination between careers, (e) the absence of physical punishment resulting in the violation of regulations, (f) no care from careers and lectures, (g) limited number of careers, (h) lazy cadets influence others to follow their behavior. (3) Based on the interviews, some factors that’s support the spiritual and mental development include (a) statement from cadets that they would observe the rules, (b) the presence of pertibtar, (c) good infrastructure and facilities, (d) cadets stay in the dormitory so control is easily made, (e) cadets wearing uniform it easy to organize them, (f) juniors respecting their seniors, and seniors respecting their teachers, (g) strict parent’ supervision to the cadets, (h) the availability of careers in the dormitory to control the cadets’ activities, and (i) the monitoring of the spiritual and mental development.

The development of the community as one of the model development approach is an effort involving the active participation of local communities and their existing resources, is no exception in the process of optimizing the ordinary village a village tour . These changes occurred along with the potential and needs of people going places that are still natural. Karanggeneng Tourist Village has a great potential in history, natural environment or geography and landscape, economy and cultureSocial and Architectural and spatial structure to develop a tourist village into tourist destination.

Abstract

Food self-sufficient Village Program is an action program to reduce food insecurity and nutrition through the utilization of resources, institutions and local rural wisdom. Ths research was conducted because of the difference of success among the beneficiary villages, despite having the same top down program. The objectives of this study are 1) To examine the cause of unsuccessful for Food Self-sufficient Village Action Program in Kebon Gunung Village; 2) Formulate the appropriate program planning approach for the people of Kebon Gunung Village. This research method is qualitative with sipported quantitative data. Determining the location and selection of respondents using purposive method. Analysis method using Miles and Huberman model through three stages, namely 1) reduction of data; 2) Presentation of data; 3) Verify. The results of the research indicate that 1) Food Self-sufficient Village Action Program has not been successful due to a) Limited budget, so that the organizers can not carry out continuous assistance and haver never conducted training for beneficiaries; b) There is no coordination between the facilitator with village apparatus in determining Poor Households, so that the beneficiaries are selected not based on criteria but directly elected by the Village Head; c) The facilitator locks the socialization of the Village Food Team task, so it has not worked and there is no village food barn yet; d) The facilitator has not provided any socialization regarding the establishment of the Village Finance Institution, so it has not been established; e) The facilitator has not been actively engaged in integration with the relevant agencies (stakeholders); f) Beneficiaries less, so there has not been productive efforts. 2) Approach Planning of the right program is top down with the assistance because the people of Kebon Gunung village (beneficiaries) is a transitional society. Keywords: Planning Model, Food Self-sufficient Village Action Program
