Abstract

Abstrak. Tanaman terung (Solanum melongena L.) merupakan jenis tanaman hortikultura dari famili Solanaceae yang mempunyai banyak manfaat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman terung akibat dari pengaruh dosis pupuk kompos dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit nenas serta untuk mengetahui interaksi antara kedua faktor tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola factorial 4x4 dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Adapun faktor pertama yaitu dosis pupuk kompos terdiri atas 4 taraf dan faktor kedua adalah konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit nenas yaitu 4 taraf sehingga diperoleh   16 kombinasi perlakuan dan 48 unit percobaan. Setiap satuan percobaan terdiri dari 2 tanaman sampel terung, sehingga keseluruhan terdapat 96 tanaman. Parameter yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah cabang produktif, jumlah bunga, jumlah buah, panjang buah, diameter buah dan berat buah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan pertumbuhan dan hasil terung terbaik akibat dosis pupuk kompos dijumpai pada perlakuan dosis pupuk kompos 2 kg polibag -1. Pertumbuhan dan hasil terung terbaik akibat konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit nenas dijumpai pada perlakuan tanpa pemberian pupuk organik cair kulit nenas (kontrol), serta adanya interaksi yang tidak nyata antara dosis pupuk kompos dan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair kulit nenas terhadap semua parameter pengamatan.Effect of Compost Fertilizer Dosage and Concentration of Liquid Organic Fertilizer Pineapple Peel on Growth and Yield of Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)Abstract. Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). is a type of horticultural plant from the Solanaceae family which has many benefits. This study aims to determine the growth and yield of eggplant as a result of the influence of compost doses and concentrations of pineapple skin liquid organic fertilizer and to determine the interaction between the two factors. This study used a 4 x 4 factorial randomized block design (RBD) with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was the dose of compost consisting of 4 levels and the second factor was the concentration of pineapple skin liquid organic fertilizer which consisted of 4 levels so that 16 treatment combinations  and 48 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit consisted of 2 eggplant sample plants, so there were 96 plants in total. Parameters observed were plant height, number of productive branches, number of flowers, number of fruit, fruit length, fruit diameter and fruit weight. The results showed that the best  growth and yield of eggplant due to the dose of compost was found in the treatment of compost  with a dose of 2 kg polybag-1. The best eggplant growth and yield due to the concentration of pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer was found in the treatment without skins was found in the treatment without pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer (control), and there was no significant interaction between the dose of compost and the concentration of pineapple peel liquid organic fertilizer for all observation parameters.
