Abstract

Location sharing system is a system that allows its users to share their geographic locations to other users. There are at least 80 location sharing service systems now, either in web or native based. The quality of these systems are significantly influenced by their performance that correspond to the selection of the appropriate communication technologies used in communication between client and server. According to the literatures, Websocket technology is the most suitable client-server communication technology for developing a web-based location sharing service system. However, there is no literature which discusses in detail how such technology can be implemented in such system. This research aims to solve such problem by developing a system that utilizes Websocket for client-server interaction to share location. The system was developed in waterfall process model by applying object-oriented development paradigm. The system is built in a client-server construction with Websocket server running on NodeJS runtime environment utilizing the Socket.IO library. The system was tested with three levels of testing: unit testing, integration testing, and system testing. Accuracy test also conducted to check out in what usage condition will the system gave the most accurate location. The white box testing of the unit and integration testing is done using the basis path testing method. The results of this testing indicate that every operation in the system's classes works well. Further, the black-box testing's results of the system testing indicate that all system's requirements have been fulfilled. According to accuracy test, system is recommended to be used in exposure of WiFi connection or GPS access for which both present the best average accuracy value than the other usage condition.

Abstract

Abstract Multiple choice test in Faculty of Computer Science, Brawijaya University has been constructed manually. Such construction encounters some problems, e.g. similarity in some questions created by some lecturers. In addition, lectures often forget to save every question that they ever made. All of these problems can be solved by an online questions bank management system for the multiple choice test. This system is expected to assist lecturers in creating and storing the questions safely as well as to detect the similarities among the questions. This system will be made in web, such as lectures can access anywhere and anytime. The system has been successfully tested using white box technique for unit and integration testings, and black box technique for validation testing. Abstract

PT KAI already has a system that can assess the performance of their employees, it is called Performance Management System. However the system still has not been able to overcome the existing problems. These problems, the difficulty in retain the best people in the company and also difficulties in the recruitment of new high quality employee. This is caused by the increasing competition of intercompany and limited supplies of the talent. So we need system which can overcome these problems, that is Talent Management System. PT KAI has an application that supports Talent Management process, that is SAP Netweaver. PT KAI has not applied it to such SAP application. This is due to different business processes and requires high cost to do further development on the SAP Netweaver application. Developing Talent Management System requires several methods, including the BSC, 360 Degree Assessment, and MBTI. As well as the required way to integrating data between Talent Management System with SAP Netweaver application, that is by using SAP RFC. This system has been successfully tested using white box testing technique for unit and integration testings, and black box testing technique for validation testing.

Abstract

In conducting logistics activities every day, PT. XYZ uses 2 Inventory Control Systems, that are internal and external Inventory Control Systems. The Internal Inventory Control System is a purchased system from software developers. Then, the External Inventory Control is a leased system of a Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) services company in Indonesia every month that can be accessed by the Directorate General (DG) of Customs and Excise, as there is a Regulation of the DG of Customs and Excise No. per-09 / BC / 2014 CHAPTER II Article 2 Section 1, every company that uses Bonded Zone facilities must have IT Inventory accessible to the DG of Customs and Excise. Because PT. XYZ has 2 Inventory Control Systems, the logistics staff should enter the same data twice into both systems. So we need a good Inventory Control System that can be used internally and externally, that is a Web-based Inventory Control System, the result of a combination of internal and external Inventory Control Systems to be able to solve the problems of PT. XYZ right now. Web-based Inventory Control System, the result of a combination of internal and external Inventory Control System has been tested by unit testing and integration testing of 3 sample methods from several classes using white-box testing method get 100% valid results. Then, system testing by testing 85 functional requirements using black-box testing method get 100% valid results.

Abstract

The manual of procedures of student event submission in Brawijaya University (UB) has a disadvantage. The disadvantage is Student Sovereignty Institutions (LKM) need to follow up their submission for each procedure because there is no information about submission status. Currently, the follow-up processes often get some problems such as the absence of UB's student affairs staff and/or their submission status has not been changed so that the follow-up processes need to be repeated. Meanwhile, UB's student affairs also need a management system to manage student event submission because in every month there are so many proposals. These problems can be solved by a system that can help the arrangement and management of submission processes. The system was created in the web-based, so users can use this system anywhere and anytime. This system has been tested through the white-box method for the unit and the integration testing of 3 sample methods from several classes get 100% valid result. Then, 23 functional requirements have been tested by black-box testing for validation testing get 100% valid result.

Abstract

The daily exams which have been held in SMPN 3 Nglegok have some problems. There are only three variations different types of random questions. However the answer does not have many variations which makes students will be able to cheat easily. In the other hand, the long way process of examination is assumed as time consuming activity starting from students' process in doing the test, the process of assessing student answers by the teacher, the process of recaping the student score until the student's score announcement. In order to overcome these problems, an online daily test system is built to fasten the process of daily test. This system has been successfully tested with unit testing and integration testing using white box testing method then validation testing using black box testing method. The results of all three tests are valid. The system was tested with ISO 25010 quality model, the result of validity functional suitability test was valid with 100% success rate. Characteristic of performance efficiency at subcharacteristic of time behavior has average 0.30 seconds, subcharacteristic of resource utilization has RAM ± 1.460 MB and CPU ± 0.10%, subcharacteristic of capacity has maximum 132 users. Characteristic of compatibility is valid. Characteristics of usability has percentage score 87.7% or very feasible. Characteristics of reliability at subcharacteristic maturity has no error when it was given 132 users as burden, subcharacteristics availability has valid value. Characteristics of security in the subcharacteristic of confidentiality, integrity and non-repudation resulted in a safe of security level. the subcharacteristic of accountability can record user activity and authenticity subcharacteristic is valid.

Abstract

Giving alms is one of the activities that is highly recommended in Islam. Giving alms could be done by giving money, goods, and food. One of the obstacles almsgiving is there's no adequate information about the detail of event will be held, such as time and place of the event. Therefore, these problem can be solved by an alms information management aplication. This application requires a maps viewer to show information about the location of the event, nearby location searching, and other components reuse. This application is using a software engineering method based on components reuse with component retrieval in its development. Method of components reuse consists of requirements analysis, components analysis, requirements modification, design with reuse, construction, and testing. This application is using UML (Unified Modeling Language) modeling language and Java programming language with Android SDK (Software Development Kit) in implementation. This application has been tested through the unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing. Unit testing and integration testing are using white-box approach then validation testing is using black-box approach.

Abstract

SD Negeri Liprak Kidul 1 is an elementary school located in Desa Liprak Kidul, Banyuanyar, Probolinggo. In order to manage its students scores, SD Negeri Liprak Kidul 1 is still not structured properly, they recorded all scores manually in score book which being held by each homeroom teacher. The student attendance is recorded in attendance book when the class begins. Beside that, parents have trouble with monitoring their children scores, because they only see the final scores when they accepting school report card on final semester. It caused the parents couldn't know the scores of the assignments, the quizzes and the exams of their children. To overcome these problems, a web-based students scores management system based on presence with SMS gateway feature is developed. This system is expected to help the process of managing students scores and also students attendance become easier. The system equipped with SMS getaway to make it easier for parents obtain information of their children scores and attendance. This system has been tested using white box testing for unit and integration testing, and black box testing for validation testing.

Abstract

Software requirements can be defined as services that software must provide in order to support user achieving the goal of using the software. Software requirements are the basis in the software development process. In situation where the source and time are limited it is important to prioritize the requirements. Requirements prioritization shows which requirement should be implemented first and get more attention in the implementation process. A research by Umang Garg and Abhishek Singhal, a method to prioritize software requirements based on non-functional requirements is proposed. In this research, an application to prioritize software functional requirements is developed in order to help the process of requirements prioritization, the method used in this research is the one that proposed by Umang Garg and Abhishek Singhal. Requirement prioritization started with a pair-wise comparison between the non-functional requirements, and then a pairwise comparison between functional requirements with non-functional requirements, lastly the order of requirements' priority and the value of priority are obtained. The system is tested by unit testing on 3 methods of the system, integration testing, and 27 test cases on validation testing which give valid results.

Abstract

The Medium Voltage Network Reconfiguration Work Plan Program is one of the work plan programs in the investment budget worksheet. This work plan program is used to rearrange the medium voltage network by dividing a load of electricity distribution facilities with other electricity distribution facilities. The documentation of the proposed work plan program now still uses several separated documents. It becomes ineffective task since there will be duplicated documents for the same proposal due to revisions. Changes in construction prices also cause changes in the proposed data such that manual changes need to be made for each proposal. This will take a long time process. Customer Service Unit (ULP) at this time also can't know the progress of the proposal that has been submitted. The investment budget worksheet system for the medium voltage network reconfiguration work plan program was developed to solve these problems. This system development was done in a web-based platform. Such development was done by using the Waterfall development model and an object-oriented approach. The system has been tested through several testing strategies, namely unit testing, integration testing, and validation testing. The unit and integration testings were performed by using white-box testing technique, while the validation testing were done using black-box testing technique.
