Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mengembangkan buku teks IPS SMP berbasis kurikulum 2013. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development). Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode dokumentasi dan uji coba lapangan menggunakan instrumen angket. Proses penelitian dilakukan melalui validasi oleh ahli bahan ajar, ahli materi dan ahli kegrafikaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan buku teks kelas IX semester 1 yang dikembangkan oleh peneliti baik. Setelah buku dinilai oleh validator maka buku direvisi sesuai kritik dan saran dari validator, kemudian buku yang telah direvisi diujicobakan pada siswa dan respon siswa sangat positif. Berdasarkan hasil validasi kelayakan oleh tim ahli dan uji coba buku teks pada siswa, buku teks IPS SMP kelas IX semester 1 dinilai layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. This research is made to expland developing junior social studies textbooks based curriculum 2013. This research used a model of research and development. Data this research collected used method of documentation and questionnaires. The results show the level of advisability from the book that used in class got value from preparation of the book is suitable to be used in the learning process. After the book was rated by the validator, the book revised appropriate with critical and suggestion from the validation team, then the book tested on students, the result of those responses showed that students agreed to apply the developed textbook in curriculum 2013. Based on the results of the advisability validation by a team of experts and testing of textbooks to students, the textbook for junior high school social studies first semester of ninth grade is considered very suitable to be used in the learning process.
