Abstract

The study was concluded to determine whatever there is a correlation between self-concept and perceived friendship group toward decision of purchasing clothes at female student Faculty of Economics State University of Malang. This research using descriptive method quantitative and correlations. The populations in this study were 2809 and subjects were 100 female student Faculty of Economics State University of Malang with a purposive sampling. Instruments in this research in the form of self-concept scale, a scale of perceived friendship group, and the scale of decision of purchasing clothes. The analysis uses descriptive analysis with value of the score T test. Hypothesis using the technique of product moment correlation and double correlation with SPSS 16.0 for windows. The result showed that (1) there is correlation between self-concept and decision of purchasing clothes (rxy=0,26, p=0,009 < 0,05); (2) there is correlation between perceived friendship group and decision of purchasing clothes (rxy=0,285, p=0,004 < 0,05) ;(3) there is correlation between self-concept and perceived friendship group toward decision of purchasing clothes R=0,419, p=0,000 < 0,005 and influence R= 0,175. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui apakah ada hubungan antara konsep diri dan persepsi terhadap kelompok persahabatan dengan keputusan pembelian pakaian di Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Malang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan korelasional. Jumlah populasi 2809 dan sampel sejumlah 100 diambil dari mahasiswi Fakultas Ekonomi Universitas Negeri Malang dengan teknik purpossive sampling. Instrumen penelitian ini berupa skala konsep diri, skala persepsi terhadap kelompok persahabatan, dan skala sikap terhadap keputusan pembelian. Analisis deskriptif dengan pengkategorian skor T. Uji hipotesis dengan korelasi product moment dan korelasi ganda dengan SPSS 16.0 for windows. Hasil penelitiannya menunjukkan(1) ada hubungan antara konsep diri dan keputusan pembelian dengan (rxy=0,26, p=0,009 < 0,05); (5) ada hubungan antara persepsi terhadap kelompok persahabatan dan keputusan pembelian dengan (rxy=0,285, p=0,004 < 0,05); (6) ada hubungan antara konsep diri dan persepsi terhadap kelompok persahabatan dengan keputusan pembelian dengan R=0,419, p=0,000 < 0,005 dengan pengaruh sebesar R= 0,175.
