Abstract

ABSTRAKKebutuhan dunia industri akan talenta yang memiliki skill, salah satunya skill disain, membuat SMKN 3 Metro melakukan Ujian Kompetensi Keahlian (UKK). UKK ini dilakukan dalam rangka mempersiapkan calon lulusan agar memiliki kemampuan dibidang disain. Selain itu juga, untuk menilai kesiapan siswa ketika akan masuk dunia kerja. Tujuan dari UKK untuk mengukur kemampuan pengetahuan dan keterampilan siswa di SMKN 3 Metro dalam bidang multimedia, sub-bidang desain grafis dasar dan desain grafis untuk percetakan. Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaanya yaitu Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), dengan tahapan persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Studi kasus yang siswa kerjakan yakni membuat disain untuk poster ataupun banner dan gelas mug, dengan software CorelDraw dan atau Photoshop. Peserta yang mengikuti UKK sebanak 35 siswa, dengan hasil, sebanyak 33 peserta masuk kategori kompeten dan 2 dinilai cukup kompeten. Kesimpulanya bahwa seluruh siswa dinilai telah mampu dan siap untuk memasuki dunia kerja. Kata kunci: disain; kompetensi; percetakan; poster; PLA. ABSTRACTDesign skills are one of the abilities that are in demand in the industrial world, which is why SMKN 3 Metro is conducting a Skills Competency Examination (UKK). UKK is offered to help future graduates become proficient in the field of design. additionally to evaluate students' readiness for the workforce after they enter it. The goal of UKK is to evaluate students' knowledge and abilities in the areas of multimedia, fundamental graphic design subfields, and graphic design for printing at SMKN 3 Metro. Participatory Learning and Action (PLA), which includes the phases of preparation, implementation, and assessment, is the methodology employed in its execution. Students used CorelDraw and/or Photoshop to create designs for posters, banners, and mugs for their case studies. Up to 35 students participated in UKK. 33 people fell into the competent group as a consequence, while 2 were deemed quite competent. The finding indicates that all pupils are viewed as capable of entering the workforce. Keywords: competence; design; printing; poster; PLA.
