Abstract

Abstract — An unstable condition of a company causes the need to downsize the organizations structure by doing layoff. This circumstance evokes a feeling of insecurity in the employees, known as job insecurity. The present study’s objective was to examine if there is a relationship between job insecurity and organizational commitment in the current employees of PT. KX in Jakarta, while other employees have been laid off. The present study was done by distributing a questionnaire to 89 employees in PT. KX. The study was a correlational research with quantitative method. The sampling technique was criterion sampling. The results showed that there is a significant negative relationship between job insecurity and organizational commitment. Therefore, the conclusion of the present study is that the lower the job insecurity among employees, the higher the organizational commitment towards the company, vice versa.  Abstrak — Kondisi perusahaan yang tidak stabil menyebabkan perusahaan mengambil keputusan untuk melakukan perampingan struktur organisasi, yaitu dengan cara melakukan Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK). Peristiwa ini menyebabkan rasa tidak aman dalam bekerja yang dirasakan oleh karyawan, atau dikenal dengan job insecurity. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya hubungan antara job insecurity dengan komitmen organisasi pada karyawan PT. KX di Jakarta yang masih bekerja, mengingat sebagian karyawan di perusahaan tersebut mengalami pemutusan hubungan kerja. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menyebarkan kuesioner kepada 89 karyawan di PT. KX. Penelitian ini bersifat korelasional dengan metode kuantitatif. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah criterion sampling. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan negatif yang signifikan antara job insecurity dengan komitmen organisasi. Dengan demikian, kesimpulan penelitian ini ialah semakin rendah job insecurity pada karyawan maka semakin tinggi komitmen organisasi pada perusahaan, dan sebaliknya.

Abstract

Abstract — The need of air transportation is increasing day by day. In order to satisfy this need, airline industries build low cost carrier airlines concept. However, low cost carrier concept may have some risk factors, especially the safety concern of passengers that should be the main priority of the aviation industries. This study aims to determine the relationship between OCEAN personality type and brand trust ofAirAsia’s consumers. Quantitative research method was conducted in this research. The number of sample was 266 users of low cost carrier airline. Sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Data were collected and were statistically analyzed by using Spearman correlation technique. The results in this study indicate that there is a positive and significant correlation between personality type of Extraversion (r= 0.155; p< .05), conscientiousness(r= 0.216; p< .05), agreeableness(r = 0.254; p< .05), openess to experience (r= 0.613; p< .05) towards the brand trust. Moreover, there is significantand negative correlation between neuroticsm and brand trust(r= -0.268; p< .05).The descriptiveanalysis of brand trust revealed that consumers tend to have low trust to the low cost carrier airline. Abstrak — Kebutuhan masyarakat akan transportasi udara semakin hari semakin meningkat, sehingga maskapai penerbangan dengan konsep low cost carrier(berbiaya murah) semakin marak.Namun, pada perusahaan maskapai dengan konsep low cost carrier ini, masih terdapat berbagai masalah terutama dalam hal jaminan keamanan dan keselamatan penumpang yang merupakan prioritas utama dalam penerbangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui hubungan antara kepribadian tipe OCEAN dan brand trust pada konsumensalah satu maskapai penerbangan low cost carrier. Metode penelitian yang digunakan ialah metode penelitian kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 266 orang dari berbagai kalangan yang pernah menggunakan layanan maskapai penerbangan low cost carrier. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah accidental sampling. Teknik analisa data menggunakanteknik korelasi Spearman. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara tipe kepribadian extraversion(r = 0.155; p< .05), conscientiousness(r = 0.216; p< .05), agreeableness(r= 0.254; p< .05), openess to experience (r= 0.613; p< .05) dengan kepercayaan terhadap merek (brand trust), serta terdapat hubungan negatif dan signifikan antara tipe kepribadian neuroticismdengan kepercayaan terhadap merek (brand trust)(r = -0.268; p< .05) pada konsumen salah satu maskapai penerbangan low cost carrier. Hasil analisa deskriptif dari kepercayaan konsumen terhadap merek pada maskapai penerbangan low cost carrier cenderung rendah.

Abstract

Pelecehan seksual dapat terjadi dimana saja, setiap waktu dan terutama terhadap perempuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan strategi coping perempuan korban pelecehan seksual ditinjau dari tipe kepribadian “Eysenck” (ekstrovertintrovert). Strategi coping meliputi dua jenis yaitu: a) problem focused coping dan b) emotion focused coping. Penelitian ini menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner yang diperuntukkan bagi perempuan dewasa muda (20-40 tahun). Subyek penelitian sebanyak 192 orang. Perempuan bertipe kepribadian introvert memiliki nilai rata-rata pada dimensi problem focused coping 42.14 (SD=7.64), sementara dimensi emotion focused coping memiliki nilai rata-rata 37.02 (SD=4.19). Perempuan bertipe kepribadian ekstrovert memiliki nilai rata-rata pada dimensi problem focused coping 48.60 (SD=6.69) sementara dimensi emotion focused coping memiliki nilai rata-rata 38.02 (SD=4.02). Hipotesis penelitian tidak terbukti, χ2(1)= 0.537, sig/p 0.449> 0.05 yang berarti tidak ada perbedaan strategi coping pada perempuan korban pelecehan seksual bertipe kepribadian ekstrovert dan tipe kepribadian introvert.

Abstract

Abstract – Communication is an essential aspect in the parent-adolescent interaction. An effective parents-adolescent communication is believed to create positive climate and interaction between parents and adolescent. Adolescents’ perception about parental communication helps them develop and achieve maturity, because through that communication, values, rules, and culture are permeated. The purpose of this study is to determine whether there is a significant effect of parents-adolescent communication perception on juvenile delinquency in a Senior High School Jakarta. This is a causal comparative quantitative study of 316 students from a Senior High School in Jakarta. Instruments used to measure parents-adolescent communication perception were constructed from the Effective Communication Theory and the tendency of juvenile delinquency, which was adapted from Wijaya, Widiastuti, and Nisfiannoor (2010). The result of this study showed that there is a significant contribution of the effect of parents-adolescent effective communication perception on juvenile delinquency in X Senior High School.Abstrak — Komunikasi merupakan hal terpenting dalam interaksi orang tua dan remaja dalam keluarga. Komunikasi orang tua dengan remaja menciptakan suasana dan interaksi yang positif antara orang tua dan remaja. Persepsi remaja mengenai komunikasi orang tua turut membantu remaja mengembangkan dan mencapai kematangan sebagai orang dewasa. Pada komunikasi orang tua terdapat penyampaian nilai-nilai, aturan, dan budaya yang dianut oleh keluarga. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat pengaruh persepsi komunikasi orang tua dan remaja terhadap kecenderungan kenakalan remaja di SMA X Jakarta. Desain penelitian ini ialah kausal komparatif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif terhadap 316 siswa di salah satu SMA di Jakarta. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur persepsi komunikasi dengan orang tua dibuat berdasarkan teori komunikasi efektif dan kecenderungan kenakalan remaja yang diadaptasi dari Wijaya, Widiastuti, dan Nisfiannoor (2010). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara persepsi komunikasi efektif orang tua dan remaja terhadap kecenderungan kenakalan remaja.

Abstract

Kasus-kasus kekerasan seksual pada anak-anak semakin memprihatinkan begitupula kasus-kasus perilaku seksual pada remaja. Upaya-upaya preventif dilakukan salah satunnya adalah pentingnya pendidikan seksual sejak dini. Anak-anak usia menjelang pubertas perlu memiliki pengetahuan seksualitas sesuai usia mereka agar dapat menjaga diri, memelihara kesehatan reproduksi dan siap menghadapi pubertas secara fisik dan psikologis. Sayangnya, pendidikan seksual di Indonesia masih memiliki arti negatif di mata masyarakat. Kesiapan anak-anak untuk menerima pendidikan seksual adalah awal untuk memahami keseluruhan kondisi seseorang yang membuatnya siap memberikan respon dalam cara tertentu terhadap suatu situasi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memperoleh alat ukur kesiapan menerima pendidikan seksual pada anak-anak usia 11-14 tahun di Jakarta. Butir-butir dibuat dengan memperhatikan aspek pengetahuan, psikologis dan sosial budaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan membagikan kuesioner. Jumlah subyek dalam penelitian sebanyak 436 subyek yang berada di lima wilayah di Jakarta. Jumlah butir sebelum pengujian validitas dan reliabilitas alat ukur sebanyak 42 butir. Setelah dilakukan analisis butir per aspek diperoleh 24 butir dengan reliabilitas konsistensi internal aspek pengetahuan 0.689, aspek psikologis 0.726 dan aspek sosial budaya 0.570. Keseluruhan alat ukur memiliki reliabilitas konsistensi internal sebesar 0.819. Alat ukur kesiapan pendidikan seksual tergolong valid dan reliabel. Analisa data tambahan sebagai bagian dari pengembangan alat ukur, bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan kesiapan penerimaan pendidikan seksual dari segi usia dan domisili dengan teknik Chi-Square. Hasil diperoleh adanya perbedaan kesiapan menerima pendidikan seksual ditinjau dari usia (p= 0.000<0.05). Begitupula terdapat perbedaan kesiapan pendidikan seksual ditinjau dari domisili (p= 0.000< 0.05). Hasil analisa kesiapan pendidikan seksual ditinjau dari jenis kelamin menunjukkan tidak ad perbedaan kesiapan pendidikan seksual pada anak laki-laki dan perempuan (p=0.532>0.05).

Abstract

Teori Big Five untuk tipe kepribadian OCEAN mampu memprediksi beberapa variabel seputar dunia industri dan organisasi seperti keyakinan dalam mengembangkan karir, dan proses pengambilan keputusan akan karir. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan kepribadian OCEAN dengan career decision self efficacy pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Jakarta. Jenis penelitian yaitu korelasional kuantitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data instrumen BFI (Big Five Inventory) dan CDS-SF. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 208 mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Jakarta yang diambil dengan teknik sampling incidental. Analisa menggunakan korelasi pearson product moment. Hasil penelitian menyebutkan adanya hubungan yang positif antara domain extraversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, openess to experience dengan career decision self efficacy (p= 0.000), serta tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara neuroticism dengan career decision self efficacy (p= 0.138) pada mahasiswa tingkat akhir di Jakarta.Kata kunci: Tipe kepribadian OCEAN, career decision self efficacy, mahasiswa tingkat akhirBig Five theory of personality types OCEAN able to predicted some variables about the world of industry and organizations such as the belief in career development, and decision-making process would be a career. The purposed of this study was to determine the relationship OCEAN personality with career decision self-efficacy at final year students in Jakarta. This type of research was quantitative correlation method of data collection instruments BFI (Big Five Inventory) and CDS - SF . Subjects numbered 208 final year students in Jakarta taken by incidental sampling technique. Analysis used Pearson product moment correlation. The results mentioned the existence of a positive relationship between the domain extraversion, conscientiousness, agreeableness, openness to experience with career decision self-efficacy (p=0,000), and there was not significant relationship between neuroticism with career decision self-efficacy (p=0,138) at the student level final in Jakarta. Keyword: OCEAN personality type, career decision self efficacy, final year students

Abstract

Sexual harassment occurs everywhere, anytime, against especially toward women. This study attempts to find the difference in sexual harassment coping strategies’ based on Eysenck personality type (extrovert-introvert). There are two kinds of coping strategies: a) problem focused coping and b) emotion focused coping. The instrument in this research is a questionnaire that was given to young adulthood women (20-40 years old). Subjects in this research are 192 female. The mean score of problem focused coping dimension is 42.14 (SD=7.64) and the mean score of emotion focused coping dimension is 37.02 (SD=4.19) on women who have introvert personality type. The mean score of problem focused coping dimension is 48.60 (SD=6.69) and the mean score of emotion focused coping dimension is 38.02 (SD=4.02) on women who have extravert personality type. Research hypothesis was denied; c2(1) =0.537, sig/p 0.449&gt; 0.05 thus there is no difference in women coping strategies as victim of sexual harassment.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed people's normal activities, including work. During the pandemic, it enforced people to work from home to reduce the spread of the virus. Routines that are usually carried out in the office must be carried out at home. Therefore, it requires adaptation and causes role conflicts in working mothers. The demands of the role of mother at home together with the role of workers at home may have impacts on the work involvement of mothers. The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between work-family conflict and family-work conflict on the work involvement of mothers who work at home. The research method used non-experimental quantitative research methods. Participants in the study were mothers who worked in the Greater Jakarta area. The sample obtained was 132 respondents with an age range between 20-60 years. The sampling technique for data collection was convenience sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire. Work involvement variable is measured by The Utrecht Work Engagement Scale (UWES) and the scale of work-family conflict and family-work. Data analysis using Pearson correlation test technique. The results revealed that the hypothesis was not accepted, there was no relationship between work-family conflict on work involvement and there was no relationship between family-work conflict on work involvement.
