Abstract

This study investigated the application of the right brain methods, namely the association and correlation method in optimizing the students’ vocabulary mastery at the seventh grade of SMPN 1 Rancah Ciamis. It uses  the qualitative approach by using Classroom Action Research (CAR) to determine how the right brain methods help students in optimizing vocabulary mastery, and to analyze how the students’ progress related to the right brain methods in optimizing vocabulary mastery in the seventh grade students of SMPN 1 Rancah. This study is conducted in three cycles, each of which consisted of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. The data of the study are taken from the questionnaire, observation, interview and the students’ vocabulary test in form of multiple choice and students’ presentation. Data analysis techniques used are descriptive analysis both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results show that the implementation of the right brain methods, namely the association and correlation method affected possitively on the improvement of students’ vocabulary mastery. It is based on the enthusisatic and the active participation of the students in the process of teaching and learning, and also the results of students’ vocabulary test from pre-cycle to cycle III.

Abstract

This research and development is motivated by the existence of potentials and problems, the potential in this study regarding several learning media that can stimulate or facilitate the learning process. Whereas the problem is that students do not understand the subtraction operation so they have to explain the material repeatedly, this is because there is no stimulus to support the learning process. This can be proven by the average value of 70, and the KKM score in these subjects 75. So it can be concluded that the average score is less than the KKM value. Therefore, a learning media is needed based on these potentials and problems. So that ludo game learning media was created in the MIS Sindangraja class 3 reduction operation. This research is included in the type and design of research development or R&D (Research and Development) of the Borg and Gall type which was carried out at the Sindangraja MIS School with a total of 16 students. The data collection technique was done by using prestest and postest tests. Data were analyzed by SPSS.

Abstract

The low mathematics learning achievement of students due to the less than optimal use of innovative learning models makes it difficult for students to understand the learning material as the reason why this study was conducted. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of the application of Somatic, Auditory, Visual and Intellectual (SAVI) learning. This type of this study was expresearcherimental research, with quantitative data. This study used the experimental design of The Non-Equivalent Group Design. The population of this study were all students of class V, amounting to 61 students. The technique in determining the research sample is random sampling. Test and interview methods were used in collecting research data. The results of data analysis showed that the average mathematics learning achievement of students in the group given the SAVI learning model got 83.6 results while the average mathematics learning achievement of students in the conventional taught group got 61.66 results. The difference can also be seen from the average N gain, namely the experimental class is 0.68 in the quite effective category, while for the average N gain, and the control class is 0.22, in the ineffective category. Thus, there is a significant difference in students' mathematics learning achievement between the experimental class that uses the SAVI learning model and the control class that does not use the SAVI learning model.

Abstract

This research talks about research that uses the Inside-Outside Circle (IOC), the learning model. This study aimed to determine the effect of the IOC learning model on student achievement on the theme 7 sub-themes 1 of science content in grade IV SDN Kersagalih. The type of research used in this study was quantitative by using Quasi-Experimental Design with the design of nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted at Kersagalih Elementary School. The population was all students in grade IV Kersagalih Elementary School, totaling 30 students. The sample used was the entire population (total sampling), the sampling was a simple random sampling method. For the data collection techniques used tests that were pretest and posttest and the data were analyzed using the SPSS 25 application. From the results of the analyzed data, it was found that sig 0.003 <0.05, which means that H0 is rejected. The Inside-Outside Circle (IOC) Learning Model has a significant influence on the learning achievement of the fourth-grade students of SDN Kersagalih on the theme 7 sub-themes 1 of science content. Obtaining a t-count is 3.306 and the t-table is 2.04841. For t-count obtained in a positive region or 3.306> 2.04841 so that Ha is accepted. The average value of the experimental class is 82.33 and the control class is 70.33 (82.33> 70.33). So, the Inside-Outside Circle (IOC) learning model has a positive influence on the learning achievement of the fourth-grade students of Kersagalih Elementary School on the theme of 7 sub-themes 1 of science content.
