Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the combination of purple sweet potato flour, moringa leaves and coconut oil in place of corn on the production of carcass and abdominal fat of male quail. The method used was a randomized block design (RAK) with 5 groups and 4 treatments, namely corn replacement by 0%(R0), 25%(R1), 50%(R2), 75%(R3). The results showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on the final body weight, the percentage of carcass, non-carcass but had no effect on the percentage of abdominal fat (P>0.05). From the results of the study, it was concluded that the combination of purple sweet potato flour and Moringa leaves up to 75% replacing corn was able to increase final body weight and carcass percentage, reduce non-carcass percentage but had no effect on male quail abdominal fat. The highest carcass percentage used a combination of purple sweet potato flour and 50% Moringa leaves in the ration, which was 69.92%.   Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi tepung ubi ungu, daun kelor dan minyak kelapa menggantikan jagung terhadap produksi karkas dan lemak abdominal puyuh jantan. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen menggunakan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) dengan 5 kelompok dan 4 perlakuan yaitu penggantian jagung sebesar 0% (R0), 25% (R1), 50% (R2), 75% (R3). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap bobot badan akhir, persentase karkas, non karkas namun tidak berpengaruh pada persentase lemak abdominal (P>0,05). Dari hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa kombinasi tepung ubi ungu dan daun kelor sampai 75% menggantikan jagung mampu meningkatkan bobot badan akhir dan presentase karkas, menurunkan persentase non karkas namun tidak berpengaruh terhadap lemak abdominal puyuh jantan. Persentase karkas tertinggi pada penggunaan kombinasi tepung ubi ungu dan daun kelor 50% dalam ransum yaitu sebesar 69,92%.
