Abstract

This article examines the development of technology that has developed rapidly so that it has undergone a major transformation where human resources have begun to be replaced by robots or computers that have intelligence similar to humans. There may be challenges that arise which can be in the form of anxiety because technology can reduce or reduce humans as a workforce, especially workers in the tourism sector. If the quality of human resources is weak then humans can inevitably be replaced by technology. In response to this, the authors created this article with the aim of analyzing and finding a way out or a solution to reduce this feeling of anxiety, namely the need for competent human resources (hard skills) and ethics (soft skills) so that the presence of revolution 4.0 can be addressed and implemented wisely because its influence can create opportunities or even become a challenge for humans who create this technology by themselves. As for the research method that can be used is a qualitative method which is carried out using literature literature studies, namely research techniques originating from scientific journals, books or scientific works that are more in-depth or descriptive. From this article it is written that technology is no longer a threat to human resources but tourism human resources must utilize digital technology in order to work more effectively and develop.
