Abstract

Pagar Alam City is a fairly large producer of agricultural commodities in South Sumatra Province. As producers of vegetables and coffee, many farmers have low education and do not know much about developments in the world of agriculture. The industrial revolution era 1.0 was marked by the presence of mechanical processes using machines. This era is also marked by the energy generated by steam and water. Daily activities that were originally carried out by humans and animals are increasingly being replaced by machines. This service activity can provide benefits for students of SMP Negeri 10 Pagar Alam to increase their knowledge about the industrial revolution 4.0 and introduce technologies used in agriculture and processing of agricultural products.

Abstract

Pagar Alam City is one of the cities located in South Sumatra Province and is a city producing vegetables and other agricultural commodities. Agricultural products in the city of Pagar Alam, have not been much touched by technological processes because of limited knowledge and lack of interest in learning new things. Therefore, to increase the knowledge of the people of the city of Pagar Alam, it can be done in the next generation, namely teenagers. Adolescence is a period of transition from children to adults. As the next generation of the nation, youth must know about technological advances. This community service aims to provide education to junior high school students as the nation's successors regarding industry 4.0, especially in the field of agricultural technology. The era of the industrial revolution 4.0 is an era of information and technology that influences the field of agricultural technology, with rapid changes.

Abstract

Gerga orange is one of the potential crops in Pagaralam City. However, not many people know the contents of gerga oranges. As the planting area increases, there is also an increase in the number of gerga orange products. This results in abundant fruit stocks. One of the weaknesses of the Gerga orange fruit is that it is perishable and its shelf life is relatively low. The high water content in Gerga orange fruit causes the orange to become soft and easily rot on the surface and inside the skin. Fruit with high water content can experience mechanical damage, decreased fruit mass, respiration rate, and high transpiration rate. Therefore, during harvest and post-harvest a handling process is required. This research aims to determine the chemical characteristics of gerga orange syrup with variations in sugar content and orange juice. The ratio of orange juice has a significant effect on the water content, pH, and total sugar of gerga orange syrup. Variations in sugar content have a significant effect on the water content, pH and total sugar of Gerga orange syrup. This shows that variations in sugar content and Gerga orange juice affect the chemical characteristics of Gerga orange syrup. The interaction between fruit juice and variations in sugar content did not have a significant effect on the water content, pH and total sugar of gerga orange syrupGerga orange is one of the potential crops in Pagaralam City. Abstract

Pelatihan masyarakat mengenai pengolahan saus cabai adalah salah satu upaya diberikan untuk menambah pengetahuan dan motivasi dalam pemanfaatan cabai di desa Durian Dangkal. Tujuannya yaitu memberikan pengetahuan kepada masyarakat tentang cara pengolahan saus berbahan pangan lokal dan memberikan peluang usaha yang meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat seperti membuat home indsutri. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiataan pengabdian ini yaitu metode ceramah dan metode ptaktek. Saat ini penggunaan saus cabai semakin meningkat seiring dengan berkembangnya industri makanan yang pada umumnya menggunakan saus cabai sebagai pelengkap produknya. Kesegaran cabai sangat sulit dipertahankan (mudah rusak), apalagi jika dalam kondisi lembab. Kadar air tinggi adalah salah asatu faktor penting penting dalam kerusakan cabai dan kadar airnya mencapai 90% dari kandungan cabai itu sendiri. Sehingga, agar dapat bertahan dalam jangka waktu yang panjang, perlu dilakukan pengawetan dalam bentuk saus cabai. Pengolahan yang bertujuan agar cabai selalu tersedia sepanjang tahun serta untuk mempertahankan kualitas cabai.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada Masyarakat di Kelurahan Sukabangun Kota Palembang ini bertujuan untuk mendorong kelompok ibu-ibu PKK dalam menggali potensi yang dimiliki secara baik untuk meningkatkan kesejahteraan dan sebagai usaha tamabahan bagi ibu-ibu yang hanya sebagai ibu rumah tangga saja melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan hidroponik sederhana. Tujuan dan target spesifik yang ingin dicapai dalam kegiatan ini adalah (1) Untuk memberikan pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu-ibu PKK Kelurahan Sukabangun dalam membantu mengurangi pengeluaran dalam keluarga, (2) Untuk memberikan pelatihan tentang hidroponik terutama untuk tanaman sayuran sehingga mampu menghasilkan sayuran yang siap di panen setiap saat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan empat tahaoan, yaitu 1) tahap persiapan dan perencanaan,, 2) tahap demontrasi/pelatihan, 3) tahap pemberian paket kit hiroponik, dan 4) tahap pendampingan. Pelatihan menanam hidroponik sederhana yang dilakukan meningkatkan minat yang tinggi pada Ibu-ibu PKK dan sangat tertarik sehingga terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang hidroponik setelah dilakukan pelatihan.
