Abstract

Latar belakang masalah penelitian ini adalah rendahnya kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang disebabkan perangkat pembelajaran tidak mendukung kemampuan tersebut. Penelitian bertujuan untuk: (1) memperoleh perangkat pembelajaran yang valid dan efektif, (2) mengetahui peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berbasis pendekatan penemuan terbimbing. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah model 4-D dari Tiagarajan, dkk. Uji coba I di kelas VIII-1 dan uji coba II di kelas VIII-2 SMP N.1SOSOPAN. Perangkat Pembelajaran yang dikembangkan yaitu Buku Siswa (BS), dan Lembar Kerja Siswa (LKS). Setiap perangkat memenuhi aspek validitas dan reliabilitas. Dari hasil pengembangan ini diperoleh bahwa: (1) Validitas Perangkat pembelajaran valid yaitu  validitas BS = 4,67, dan LKS = 4,63 dan efektivitas perangkat pembelajaran efektif dilihat dari ketercapaian ketuntasan belajar siswa, aktivitas siswa dalam batas toleransi yang ditetapkan dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran dalam kategori baik; (2) persentase peningkatan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa pada uji coba I adalah 12,5% dan pada uji coba II 20,6 %; serta rata-rata peningkatan disposisi matematis siswa pada uji coba I adalah 0,49 poin dan pada uji coba II adalah 0,54 poin.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to find out how students' mathematical connection abilities use the realistic mathematics learning approach (RME) at SMA PAB 5 Klumpang. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research. The research subjects of class X SMA PAB 5 Klumpang consisted of 25 students. The research object was the students' mathematical abilities using a realistic mathematical approach. Data collection techniques used by researchers were observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques used the Miles and Huberman approach. The level of mathematical connection ability of class Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, it can be concluded that the research subject is (1) students achieve mathematical connection abilities in the high category and are able to produce all indicators in mathematical connection abilities, namely the ability to connect between mathematical topics/concepts, the ability to connect mathematics with other sciences and the ability Mathematical connections to everyday life. (2) students achieve mathematical connection abilities in the low category and are unable to produce a single indicator of mathematical connection abilities. (3) students achieve mathematical connection abilities in the medium category and are able to produce two indicators of mathematical connection abilities, namely the ability to connect between mathematical topics/concepts and the ability to connect mathematics with other sciences.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether problem-based learning is effectively used to increase students' mathematics learning self-efficacy. This research was carried out in the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year with a total of 24 students. The method used in this research is descriptive analysis. The instrument in this research used a questionnaire. The students' mathematics learning self-efficacy questionnaire consisted of 35 questions consisting of positive questions and negative questions, using a Likert scale. In trial I the average result of the students' mathematics learning self-efficacy questionnaire was at a percentage of 74.96%, then in trial II the results of the students' mathematics learning self-efficacy questionnaire increased with an overall average score of 86.47%. Based on the results of trial I and trial II, students' self-efficacy in learning mathematics using problem-based learning increased by 11.51%. Thus, it can be concluded that problem-based learning is effectively used to increase students' mathematics learning self-efficacy.
