Abstract

In general, an injury is considered minor if it does not cause disease or interfere with daily activities. Minor wounds can also be small and fairly clean. Wounds that are not treated properly can cause slow wound healing and even infection. The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of health education on wound care with changes in parental knowledge in the children with special needs community, Sidorejo, Kediri District. The research method used was a quasy experimental one group pre test post test. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire given twice to obtain knowledge data before and after education The research method used was a quasy experimental one group pre test post test. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the majority of parents in the children with special needs community had sufficient knowledge of 21 respondents (84%) Both 2 respondents (8%) and 2 respondents lacking (8%). While the results of the analysis of the results of the study obtained ρ 0.000 so that it was concluded that there was an effect of knowledge before and after education on simple wound care in the children with special needs community community in Sidorejo, Kediri

Abstract

Anak berkebutuhan khusus cenderung memiliki tingkat aktivitas berlebih dan sangat rentan mengalami cidera. Cidera atau luka yang tidak dirawat dengan baik dapat menyebabkan perlambatan penyembuhan luka sehingga menimbulkan munculnya infeksi. Untuk mencegah luka menjadi terinfeksi maka diperlukan perawatan luka yang efektif. Perawatan luka bergantung pada kondisi luka begitupula bervariasi dalam cara perawatan dan penyembuhan yang berbeda. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan perawatan luka pada orang tua dikomunitas ABK Sidorejo Kediri. Kegiatan Pengabdian dilakukan selama dua kali diawali dengan memberikan kuesioner untuk melihat sejauh mana pemahaman orang tua tentang perawatan luka dilanjutkan dengan edukasi Kesehatan metode demontrasi tentang langkah perawatan luka. Hasil pengabdian didapatkan pengetahuan orang tua meningkat setelah diberikan edukasi Kesehatan metode demonstrasi tentang langkah perawatan luka dikomunitas ABK Sidorejo Kediri

Abstract

Self-compassion is one way of explaining an individual's ability to survive, understand and realize the meaning of an experience as something positive (Neff, 2003). The aim of this research is to identify Self Compassion in teenagers at the Kasih Karunia Pare Orphanage. The research method used is descriptive. The population in this study was all 25 teenagers at the Kasih Karunia Pare Orphanage. Collecting data to identify Self Compassion using the Self Compassion Scace (SCS) questionnaire was given once to respondents. The data was then analyzed using a frequency distribution table. The research results showed that 23 respondents (92%) teenagers had moderate self-compassion and 2 respondents (8%) teenagers had low self-compassion. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that most teenagers at the Kasih Karuia Pare Orphanage have a moderate level of Self Compassion. It is important to continue to give positive beliefs to teenagers at the Kasih Karunia Pare Orphanage so that teenagers have a strong identity and high integrity.
