Abstract

Islamic boarding school (Pesantren) as educational institutions have problems about personal hygiene and hygiene during menstruation. Therefore, it is necessary to have health education programs to change personal hygiene behaviour and hygiene during menstruation which aim at improving the female students health status. This research aims at analyzing the influence of health education on female students behavior about personal hygiene and hygiene during menstruation at Dormitory X Darul Ulum Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Jombang. The research design used SOR theory (Organism-Stimulus-Response). Stimulus is giving intervention health education which includes personal hygiene and hygiene during menstruation. The research method used lectures with a slides and booklets aid. Pretest was conducted before the treatment and posttest was conducted after 3 times the interventions. The subject of the research was female students of dormitory X Pondok Pesantren Darul Ulum Jombang. Expected response of this research is change knowledge, attitude and practice of personal hygiene and hygiene during menstruation. The result can be said that health education significantly affects their knowledge, attitude, and practice regarding personal hygiene. It also significanly affects their knowledge, attitude, and practice of hygiene during menstruation.

Abstract

Adolescence can be said to be a period of storm and stress, which is characterized by disequilibrium or imbalance of attitudes and emotions, which makes adolescents easily change, fluctuate, and uncertain. Adolescence is also a period of transition where at that time it was necessary to adjust from childhood to adulthood. Adolescents who have not been able to solve the problems experienced will lead to prolonged conflict, the inability to face existing problems can cause frustration and bring up aggressive reactions. The purpose of this study is to find out the factors related to the aggressiveness of adolescents who live in the boarding school. This study uses a descriptive correlation design using a cross sectional approach. The study was conducted in Islamic boarding schools with a sample of 150 santri. The sampling technique used was proportionate stratified random sampling. The measuring instrument used is a questionnaire that has been tested for validity and reliability. This study uses univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. The results of the study revealed that there was a significant effect (P value <0.05) between parenting (p value = 0.000), and the aggressive behavior of adolescents in boarding schools. And there was a significant effect (P value <0.05) between peers (p value = 0.003), with the aggressive behavior of adolescents in boarding schools. The environment has a large influence on adolescent behavior. With the imitation process they learn to do the same thing as they can witness with their aggressive behavior.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Dormitory is a place for both formal and non-formal education. Santri follows all activities in dormitory and almost spends all of his time to following all rules and regulations in dormitory. Santri may not leave the dormitory without permission from the supervisor and may not carry communication devices or electronics, students who came have different cultural backgrounds and the intensity of time to meet among roommates longer so that the risk for acts of bullying behavior is higher among peers. The purpose of this study is to explore the experience of students during the GPM program in dipesantren. The research method uses descriptive qualitative phenomenology, with the determination of participants using purposive sampling, participants are students who take the GPM program totaling 5 respondents. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews after that the data were analyzed to determine the sub themes and themes, the results of this study resulted in four themes namely (1) mutual respect, (2) providing assistance, (3) increasing motivation, (4) feeling happy. This research can increase students' self-awareness and understanding of bullying behavior which should not be carried out continuously. Santri feels happy and there is no sense of worry or fear when together with friends.Keywords ; experience, GPM program, students

Abstract

Teenagers aged 12-15 years usually experience menstruation. This condition usually occurs once a month. Usually the menstrual period is between 3-7 days. During menstruation, you will usually experience mood changes caused by hormonal changes in a person's body and this happens during menstruation. Young women who first experience menstruation mostly feel worried and feel uncomfortable when they come to their months, thus limiting their activities. In addition, a long menstrual cycle scares because of bleeding. Knowledge of menstruation, menstrual cycle, and menstrual disorders experienced is very important for young women. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of reproductive health knowledge about menstrual health in early adolescents who live in boarding schools. this study uses pure descriptive, the sampling technique using purposive sampling. And data analysis using frequency distribution using SPSS 15 software. The instrument used is a questionnaire to measure the level of knowledge of adolescents who have been validated. Based on respondents' data from the level of knowledge about understanding menstruation as much as 41% (23 people) had a good level of knowledge, 18 people (32%) had sufficient knowledge and the remaining 26.8% (15 people) had less knowledge. While seen from the level of knowledge related to the menstrual cycle, most respondents had less knowledge about the menstrual cycle as much as 42.8% (24 people) and as many as 25% (14 people) had a good level of knowledge. Furthermore, based on the level of knowledge of respondents to menstrual disorders, most are still lacking as much as 46.4% (26 people) and the remaining 14 people (25%) have a sufficient level of knowledge of menstrual disorders Keywords: Health, menstruation, reproduction, adolescence.
