Abstract

ABSTRACT Teaching aids are one of the components that determine the effectiveness of learning. The provision of teaching aids is part of meeting the needs of children in learning. The purpose of using teaching aids is to demonstrate abstract concepts into visual form. For this reason, teaching aids are one way to attract children's attention during the learning process. Attractive props do not have to be expensive, but can be created by the teacher by utilizing unused materials in the surrounding environment. For this reason, teachers must have sensitivity to their students. Seeing this need, the Bethel Church of Indonesia, Bukit Sabda Bahagia Congregation, Sorong City, became the place where we carry out our service as a form of our contribution in equipping Sunday school teachers by carrying out Socialization and Training on Making Props for Sunday School teachers, with the aim that teachers can have skills in utilizing used goods to make a teaching aid to help the learning process for Sunday school children. Keywords: Training, Props, Used Goods ABSTRAK Alat peraga merupakan salah satu komponen penentu efektivitas belajar. Penyediaan perangkat alat peraga merupakan bagian dari pemenuhan kebutuhan anak dalam belajar, Tujuan penggunaan alat peraga adalah untuk mendemonstrasikan konsep yang abstrak ke dalam bentuk visual. Untuk itulah, maka alat peraga menjadi salah satu cara dalam menarik perhatian anak-anak saat proses pembelajaran sedang berlangsung. Alat perega yang menarik tidak harus mahal, namun dapat diciptakan oleh pengajar dengan memanfaatkan bahan-bahan tidak terpakai yang ada dilingkungan sekitar. Untuk itu pengajar harus memiliki kepekaan terhadap peserta didiknya. Melihat pada kebutuhan inilah maka, Gereja Bethel Indonesia Jemaat Bukit Sabda Bahagia Kota Sorong menjadi tempat dimana kami melaksanakan pengabdian sebagai wujud kontribusi kami dalam memperlengkapi para guru sekolah minggu dengan melaksanakan Sosialisasi dan Pelatihan Pembuatan Alat Peraga bagi guru Sekolah Minggu, dengan tujuan agar para pengajar dapat memiliki keterampilan dalam memanfaatkan barang-barang bekas untuk membuat sebuah alat peraga untuk membantu proses pembelajaran bagi anak sekolah minggu. Abstract

Abstract: Basically education, Indonesian education has existed since 1901 during the Dutch occupation of Indonesia and in general education in the 2nd century after the colonial period, early education was formed in families where parents were the first educators before the child became acquainted with the world of education. As for the background of the writer's interest in writing this thesis, it is based on the results of observations and the initial interviews the writer conducted with students and teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Kota Sorong where there are still factors that influence the teaching and learning process. Laziness, student mortality, and the standard of school infrastructure is still limited. The research method used, research method description analysis with data collection techniques, field studies which include observation, interviews and questionnaires. Adapyn in determining the final result uses an analytical technique, namely correlation. Based on the results of the analysis and conclusions in the Discussion chapter, the writer moves away from the creativity of students in class during the teaching and learning process, the teacher is more creative in choosing media during the learning process. So it should be divided again so that it is in accordance with the explanation of the material that is applied during the teaching and learning process.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Building character means building a pattern of attitudes to be demonstrated in relationships with one another. The attitude demonstrated is characteristic of Christian morals or ethics. So that the objectives to be achieved in the implementation of this dedication are; To provide correct knowledge and understanding to students to have superior character as the younger generation and to help Christian religious education teachers in schools to provide students with an understanding of superior character. So in this service it is hoped that it can provide solutions for the younger generation to have good character, so that the role of Christian Religious Education can answer the challenges faced by the younger generation to have superior character. Key words: Young generation, Character, Excellence ABSTRAK Membangun karakter berarti membangun suatu pola dari sikap yang hendakdidemonstrasikan dalam hubungan antara satu dengan lain. Sikap yang didemonstrasikan itu merupakan ciri khas moral atau etika Kristen. Sehingga tujuan yang akan dicapai dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini adalah; Untuk memberikan pengetahuan serta pemahaman yang benar kepada siswa untuk memiliki karakter yang unggul sebagai generasi muda serta Dapat membantu guru pendidikan agama kristen di sekolah untuk memberikan pemahaman bagi siswa tentang karakter yang unggul. Sehingga dalam pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memberikan solusi bagi generasi muda agar memiliki karakter yang baik, sehingga peran Pendidikan Agama Kristen bisa menjawab tantangan yang dihadapi oleh generasi muda untuk memiliki karakter yang unggul..
